Hello fellow Hunters and Pet Enthusiasts!

Seeing as I currently play a total of 6 Hunters, and perhaps even more once the Cataclysm expansion is released, I have recently found myself lacking inspiration for new and future pet names.

Here is a brief summary about my hunter and her pet(s).

Kadija is one of my newest hunters. She is a lvl 30 Troll who prefers the unconventional and solitary lifestyle of hunting. A bit on the shy side social-wise, she is dexterous and lethal against her adversaries, and extremely maternal when it comes to the care and well-being of her beloved pets. She loves bright colors which remind her of her childhood home of Stranglethorn Vale (her RP story is currently under development); this is also displayed in her preference of pet choices as you will see below. Her current and only companion at this time is a Durotar Tiger named Keahi (Keh-Ah-Hee; Hawaiian name meaning "fire").

I know it's a ways away before I acquire some of the other pets I am about to mention but I figure at the rate I am currently leveling, now is as good a time as any to start collecting ideas for original and innovative names. I am interested in names that closely originate from island destinations (i.e. Jamaica, Hawaii, etc.), Africa, South America, or any place whose names sound as though they'd fit in nicely with the whole Troll thing. I am only interested in serious names please and no double-barrel names such as Littlefoot, Frostwing, etc. Also, I am not particular on any specific name meanings/definitions so long as it applies to a characteristic of the beast in some aspect or another.

Kadija's Pet Roster:
Image Image Image Image
1. Keahi (mentioned above)
2. Sundari (Sun-Dar-Ee; Sanskrit/Indian name meaning "beautiful")
3. Needs a Name (male)
4. Needs a Name (female)

Thank you in advance. I look forward to reading your suggestions.

For your King Krush, maybe Brawta, which means "a gift, above expected, bonus" in Jamaican. Since he's a rare spawn, he would be like a gift for you, for finding him :D

Hmm, and maybe Chatabax for the tallstrider, as it means "a talker, chatter box" in Jamaican; I always picture those birds being kind of squawky, hehe.

Those are just a couple that popped out at me- I was just looking at random words from this link- it's all common Jamaican words/phrases.

Hope this gives you a bit of inspiration!

Kastarakovski, I'm not even gonna try now! Hehe. You did a lot of research with those names, it looks like. Great job!

I liked Kgosi for King Krush ("king", "chief", and it starts with "k"!) and Leilani for the tallstrider ("heavenly flowers", which is what her colors remind me of).

Thar be my two pennies! :D

Wow! Thank you Jakkra and Kastarakovski! You've certainly offered many great choices for me to choose from :0)

So far, I am liking the names Brawta, Kgosi, Ameqran, and Jirair for my T-Rex and the names Amara, Zuri, Juvela, Kusuma, and Saqui for my tallstrider.

Ironically, I do have another pet on my Tauren Hunter named Kekoa (Ironjaw/wolf). If I were able to acquire more than 5 pets on each hunter, my plan was to tame a reddish-brown wolf, name it Keahi, and make it so that the story would be that she is Kekoa's mate.

Any more suggestions? I am lovin' the direction this post is going so far!

I have always been drawn to Hawaiian volcano names. They're very pretty. I suggest you look into them; I would recommend "Mauna" or "Loa" for Krush because Mauna Loa is the biggest volcano in Hawaii, the big kahuna!

Kiluaea is the name of the most active volcano on Earth, and is also in Hawaii. I'd recommend that for your tallstrider. (:

Thank you Britany. I hadn't thought of taking that route. I'll do some research and see what I can find.

I think Kiluaea is a beautiful name btw :0)
