Hmm, the first thing that came to my mind was from the Song of Ice and Fire novels.

Brandon Stark names his dire wolf Summer, and it seems suiting with the warm colour and green eyes.

Hehe, yeah I figured it probably wasn't what you were looking for. xD I agree it seems feminine, but the wolf in the book was male, so I'm kind of used to it belonging to a male creature now.

I voted Rusty cause it just seems like a good, solid wolf name. No idea why.

I googled around a bit and found a few names:
Aatu means 'noble wolf' (Finnish version of the old High German word Adalwolf)
Bardawulf is Old German and means 'bright wolf'
Coinin is Gaelic for 'little wolf' (Cano = wolf, plus diminutive suffix)
Faol is Irish Gaelic for wolf. With the diminutive suffix, it becomes Faolan or Faelan ('little wolf')
Hemming is a Scandinavian name derived from Old Norse Hamr, meaning 'shape.' (The name may have originated as a byname for a "shape-shifter" or "werewolf")
Ivaolo is a Bulgarian name that might mean wolf. (Idk, that's what they said)
Sandulf is a name you should recognise. Means 'true wolf'

This one's kinda cool: Marrok is possibly a French form of Latin Marcus, meaning "defense" or "of the sea." In Arthurian legend, this is the name of a knight who was also a werewolf. In Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur, "Death of Arthur," (1469-1470), there is a single line mentioning this knight; it reads as follows: "Sir Marrok the good knyghte that was betrayed with his wyf for she made hym seven yere a werwolf."

(Damn, someone has reserved the name Marrok on Ysera... :( Would be the perfect worgen name, no?)
(And on Nesingwary too :( :()

Ooh, had to chime in that Marrok is an incredibly cool and unique idea for a wolf name! I like it! :)

Oh god yes, rustne søm! I can't believe I'd forgotten about that. The licorice outside Denmark sucks.

Hmm... Rustynail? That could work.

It's spelled Cognac. That'd work as a name too. Or perhaps Sheridan (it's brownish/coppery in colour once they're mixed).

Hmm, perhaps Bourbon, or Whiskey, if you're going for an alcohol based name.

Hehe, I recently tamed the exact same wolf skin, except I got mine from Blade's Edge Mountains. I named him Rufus, after the scientific name for Red Wolves- Canis Rufus.

If you like food names... the hard candy Wether's Original randomly came to mind, so maybe Werther?

His coat is also a Scotch type color, like the whiskey. :P

I really like Whiskey. That's an awesome name! I'd totally be tempted to name a rl pet that. *eyes her non-red cats...*

That's so funny! I tamed one of the Ember Worgs from Searing Gorge last night! Loved my Old Cliff Jumper, whose name was Bramble like my previous wolf, but this new guy I named CinderPaw. Was going to go with Singe or FirePaw/FireMane, or something along those lines, but I was drawn to CinderPaw, and so was my other half- so I went with that :)

You could always go with Singe, as it's a nice firey male name :)

I have given that wolf up and tamed a new model : Image

i named it Sorteslyngel which is the danish name for the Phantom blot
The Phantom Blot is a fictional character featured in various media by The Walt Disney Company. He is an enemy of Mickey Mouse. He first appeared in the Mickey Mouse comic strip adventure Mickey Mouse Outwits The Phantom Blot by Floyd Gottfredson, which was published in the form of daily strips from May 20 to September 9, 1939. His primary goal is universal domination.
He is supposed to be a wolf :D

There were several of them. Don't know if I can remember all of them right now...
  • Nymeria - Aryas wolf
  • Ghost - Jons wolf
  • Summer - Brans wolf
  • Shaggydog - Rickons wolf
  • Lady - Sansas wolf
  • Greywind - Robs wolf
Yeah, I think that's them...
