Hunter (Forums, Talent Calculator)
Disengage no longer lists a combat restriction.
I saw this in the patchnotes on MMOChampion and I was intrigued.
How will this change our lives as hunters? Will we be able to leap around like frogs on steroids all the time now? Get to new areas inside dungeon and raid instances? The possibilities are endless.
I, for one, will enjoy having this plus my Goblin Glider.

Yup, if you Disengage while falling, your fall damage calculator will calculate how much damage you take from the point you disengage, not the point you originally fell from.

BWAHAHA! Excelent. Now it will be easier to do my cliff bomb. With an easier getaway method.
Before Cataclysm (or was it Wrath?) this had no combat restrictions IIRC (been a while, like, years and trying to remember right) and then suddenly it did which has made things suck a lot for me cause I remember spamming it all the time XD If it always had the combat restriction though, but my brain keeps saying it didn't, I musta aggroed mobs just so I could use it. All I know is that I really, really, hated this move come Cata when I discovered (or realized) it had a restriction on it and I like, never use it anymore XD Irregardless of the past, SO EXCITED FOR DISSSSSSS

Certainly. My proudest moment with Disengage was using it to save myself from dying on the Lich King fight, after the mage next to me stepped on a Shadow Trap.
At least now I don't have to worry about aggroing a mob or two before making a hasty departure.
the tooltip is still strange: you "attempt" to leap backwards? it sounds like you should, in theory, sometimes fail when doing so.

1st time I read it I was like "Sweet it's like the old FD!" then I realized it says 'outside of combat' not out of combat'. Ah, the good old days when we could go far enough away of a raid boss FD and then drink and eat.
