These new genes are surprisingly pretty considering you're turning your dragons into living slime constructs. (Look carefully: they're partially see-through!) Shame a lot of the existing terts hide the effect, though some have fun potential. Firefly the bugs are trapped in the goop, ghost of the right colour could suggest pieces of the dragon's skeleton floating inside, and so on.

Yeah, they hid the announcement at the bottom of the drake harvest post. That transparency is neat, I hadn't noticed. Helps explain why they seem to be overall lighter in tone. I do love how much two-tone-iness many of the colors have.

Ah man the new genes are just really cool, and I love that a lot of the colors have a dual tone. Always need more two-tone options for weird dragon scries!

So I bought a set of the pirate gear, and now I'm considering whether or not to buy an extra eye patch--I don't have a current dragon I'm thinking of, but it does seem to be the one piece from the pirate stuff to have a lot of versatility .
