I sure hope so, they look like they would do a LOT more damage than a seagull, and we have them as pets. That said, if there is a chip involved seagulls can get pretty scary...
Especially if it's Doritos chips!

I really hope we do get the Toucan, that beak looks like it would hurt like hell.

Keep it up guys. its early beta and if we make enough noise about this maybe Blizz will toss in a rare River Beast named artichoke. ;D

I loved the challenge tame pets, both intended and bugged. (even after I got my macro tamed pets I helped tons of other players tame theirs because it was just so fun.) I liked the FL tames too but unlocking the zone was such a pain in the butt that I only bothered to do it once.
The direhorn thing was ok. I like the idea of having to obtain somthing that teaches you how to tame them but all in all both the mobs and the droprate made it an easy find.
Loved the tracking system. even though some rares were so common and easy to track that it made it sort of dull. but those who were harder were lots of fun and not having someone grief your tame was a great thing to have.

I wouldn't take the criticism here to heart. Most of it is in good fun and people still really love them. Everyone loves something a bit different though.

The spiky hair thing seemed a bit weird to me when it was first introduced in Cata. I remember it was used on those wolf pvp mounts but not sure what else. It just seemed a radical departure from the old style. But now it's used a lot and seems quite normal. There was a lot of more stylized art in MoP that would have felt jarringly different a few expansions ago, but it's still beautiful.

Oooh I really love the new wolves and boars <3. The hippos seems very interesting too :). I'm a bit iffy about new talbuk model. Overall it looks great, but its tail bugs me as its too much horse-like for my tastes.

Ohhhhhh! I wonder if that's a chimera animation for all of them or just the new model. I would love so much for Bellerophon to be able to sit....

Squee!! I didn't know their necks would be so snake-y without the armor!

And the thought of having a Chimaera with ground animations...sorry, I shouldn't have chopped up so much onion for dinner.

I keep seeing the "three new pet families" thing, and unless my memory's fuzzed up (being kinda tired doesn't help either) that's counting the river beast, hook wasp and of course hydras. But, with hydras, in a way, already existing as a pet family, maybe there's a bit of word trickery at play that could mean that three totally new families we've never seen are coming and hydras are being thrown in as tamable (finally)? Riverbeast, hook wasp and with these new elekk models, mammoths/pachyderms? I'm probably hoping for waaay too much, but the whole "they're too big" argument wouldn't deter me much, seeing as how we have rhinos and friggin' devilsaurs and other huge creatures already.

Riverbeasts, Hookwasps, and Hydras.

They also have said, however, that they are adding a bunch of new models and skins for existing families. So.. have to wait and see what else we get.

Yeah it was a good thought that the third family might not be hydras, but I'm pretty sure Jeremy tweeted confirmation that those are the "3 families" in response to someone who mentioned specifically those three. While I think pachyderms would be a cool addition, I'd also be a bit surprised - not because of the size but because they aren't really requested a lot compared to some others.
