I'm in love with the white Rylak too. I do believe I'll be picking that colour, instead of the tan one

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
So there is at least ONE armored Rylak that we can tame?

Just one.Ickabob wrote:So there is at least ONE armored Rylak that we can tame?
Darktide Roost, Shadowmoon Valley. Go to the back of the island, and look for a ramp up. Once you reach the top (big rylak being tortured), aggro the goblin. Run to the cliff across from where you arrived, and you'll see "Thunderlords Rylak". It's the same model as the Skyreaver mount, as Wain said.
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
the Saddle clefthooves are still tameable, I checked them yesterday ^_^
Looks like another new build went in last night
^^ this was my pre-coffee brain. It looks like the #s are diff on the launcher but I really dont know for certain. lol
Tainted Lightwing moth in SMV does not keep it's effect. 8( However, it's a lovely blue/white moth when tamed.

Oddly enough the Hen Chick seems a bit conflicted on which type of pet it wants to be.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
Come on stay/be Birds of prey! Lol
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
Green Hydra "regular" mobs in Gorgrond still not tameable, neither is the big Trophy Elite.

Oh hmm. That'd be awesome if it'd stay bird of prey lol. (But I'd prefer if they all would be switched to bird of prey. I'm not complaining, though.)
Even if all of the adults are carrion birds, if there's that one odd chick I can actually have for raiding in the event the versatility buff isn't covered... I'll be very happy.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I know <3 I posted about him yesterday. Was waiting for him to become tamable after seeing him during the Stables quests. He's the only raptor in-game with that skin as far as I'm aware? Though I could've missed one.
He'll look awesome on my human hunter ;-;

That raptor is so cute!! I love it!
Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
They're still balancing pets for WoD so if you really feel that carrion birds will be under-utilized as they are currently, maybe they'll get them right before launch
The changes to pet families thread is probably a better place to discuss that further.

Not sure if my recolor should be here or in a separate thread, but here goes.
Seeing as I've been playing with my new feathered friends all day, I had an epiphany; what if Teroclaw Chick came in colors matching the Teroclaw, Hen-Mother, and Kil'uun?
Maybe one day, but having bearded vultures and dino-like versions is definitely worth the pondering.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
I think my favorite new wolf, The Savage Warwolf (saddled wolf) may have been removed I can't find one around Telaar anymore. Does anyone know if they spawn anywhere else? Even the corpse of one that used to be permanently there as a prop isn't there anymore. The one I have in my stable still summons fine. I think I'll check on another realm just to be sure.

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
No. No please Don't tell me that. It's my favorite wolf too, and the mount version of that model was removed already... I know stables gives you a nearly identical one, but the armor is different (no helm, for example.)
I was content though considering I could at least have it as a pet. And now the pet version is removed too?

Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
OK, I think the Warwolf thing is a phasing issue.
You may only be able to tame it before completing any of the Nagrand intro quests. When I go there on my manually leveled hunter, they are nowhere to be found. When I go on a fresh 100 premade, they are there. The Savage Warwolf corpse also correlates with this. The corpse can be found at the top of the waterfall you walk across to get there. No corpse = no spawned wolves it seems?
If this stays like this, your only opportunity to tame may be before doing the intro quests. This is Alliance... are the horde intro quests somewhere else? Maybe it doesn't apply to horde?
Maybe someone else can verify what I'm seeing. I'll go take a screenshot to compare, edit this post in a few mins.
Easiest way to check is to turn off humanoid tracking and only leave beast tracking on, so you don't confuse it with all the mounted wolves.
EDIT:
Is anyone able to test this out? To see if I'm not going crazy
