Re: Potential new hunter pets in WoD
It does look more like it's meant to be the bull of the herd or something. Would have fit the harsher Outland feel than Draenor imo.
I think the boars would have been great without the spikes, as the spikes to me would have appeared after fel taint *shrug* oh well

That's it I'm taming the green hippo and calling him "Karczoch" (PL "artichoke", but all the more proper, sice it sounds simmilar to "the back of the neck" - "kark")SpiritBinder wrote:

I am happy very much to see that the new wolf model has some riding forms that appear to be something easier to get. I was busting my butt because I really wanted to beat Garrosh and get the mount b/c I was afraid that that would be the easiest mount to get using that wolf model, however...I think the Garrosh kill wolf is really ugly with all the extra crap on it, and the basic riding mounts are what I want. If they have multiple colors it usually means it is something easier like a rep grind or something

I'm still a bit hesitant over this SUPER STEROID MUSCLE art direction they seem to have gone for everything, but as long as we have the originals still I'm not too worried. These new models look really nice, but a few of them do make me cringe with how bulky they are.

It's like that whole tier of hunter armour no one will admit to wearing, since someone said it looked like a birthday cake.
I need to find something here to mock and make a meme of, to ensure that all will ridicule it.
And yes, I know everyone has their right to an opinion.. mine is this place is far too critical.

I say that now, but then I'll probably fall in love with the hippo waddle or something silly like that. Sigh.

I sure hope so, they look like they would do a LOT more damage than a seagull, and we have them as pets. That said, if there is a chip involved seagulls can get pretty scary...Slickrock wrote:Muffins hinted that we might get the Toucan as pet as well.

All the models of the boars and such look pretty much like what I saw at Blizzcon, with a few color additions. (At the time there was only one color of Riverbeast).
From what Muffins hinted at, we might still get some other models/skins for existing families. We'll have to wait and see.

The other thing to take into consideration is the possible addition of other families/pets throughout the expansion.
The dire horns and other new models from the isle of giants where an awesome surprise in MOP. The Dev’s certainly took note of that and Muffi asked/tweeted not that long ago, asking about the previous taming techniques we had over the previous expansions and what we liked. Tomes of Taming, the Fireland Skill Tames and Tracking were all mentioned I think.
