I love how there are trying to keep the style the same while at the same time improving the quality!! I think I remembered them saying something about that back when they announced updating character models, that they wanted the characters to still be "you" while looking better.

My main concern/hope now: Will they make multiple variations on the face shape? For pandaren, for example, there's only one face with a lot of little pretty unimportant details that can change. I hope they avoid that and add lots of different facial structures.

Hrng, really excited about this one. Theme-wise, it feels really feels like this expansion is going back to Warcraft's roots and, in my humble opinion, it's just what we needed. It's also really cool to explore this bit of history that's never really been expanded upon before. Draenor's always been a interesting but... not really explored or elaborated upon. Maybe it's just because the Draenei are my favourite race, but I am stoked to see more of their history, and to poke about their culture at the hight of their civilisation. Not to mention I'm excited to see the Tribal orcs in action, the Iron Horde just sounds badass, really want to see how this story unfolds.

On the subject of player models, what I've seen so far is fantastic. These old character models were in such a dire need of a revamp and, so far, they've not been disappointing. The few screenies we've seen of the facial animations in particular have been really great. And what is this? Orcs can have a bottom lip finally? Lies and slander!
But then, I've not seen models for some of the races of my characters, so, there's that slight worry that my dwarfess Durana... won't look like Durana. But they said they wanted to try and keep as close to the soul of the original models as possible, so I've faith that they'll figure something out.
I do hope we'll see updated draenei and blood elves sooner rather than later. The latter especially, considering that they're looking to be a big part of the Alliance experience this expac. But, so long as they get around to them, I'll be content.

Fix the female worgen while you're at it too blizz?

All in all, stoked for Warlords. Outside of the potentially confusing nature that's always involved with messing about with time travel, I'm excited by everything I've seen so far. Probably going to get me back into the game, and I hope it lives up to the hype.

They said this xpack is going back to Warcrafts roots well back to Warcraft 1 and 2!

I don't know about you guys but Qinni is going to look so badass with a new model. I always pictured her with beads in her hair or feathers...braids even. Goggles are staying though. STAYING FOREVER!

So this shows that the new Garrosh model sort of is the base for the new orc models. I like that. They just look awesome.
I'm going to race change all my characters to orcs. lol
Or just make a lot of new orcs.

It's funny, all my female Horde characters are Orcs and I have males of every Horde race except Orcs, I need to see the girls before I'm happy.

New character models retain the iconic features, but refine them as necessary. The models also have a more consistent style.
Undead have bones sticking out, but they don't look great. The new version refined it. (They unveiled the progress on the Undead Male model)
The team looked at the existing model and decided what they wanted to maintain and what needed to be exaggerated.
They went 956 to 5408 polygons on the Gnomes. 130 to 196 bones. Texture resolution was 2 to 5x higher depending on the area of the body.

Don't worry, they don't like it either lol



Gnome expressions look great! Man, I can't wait to see the Draenei then!
