Has any one else noticed that when you murder a Gnome it makes the most unholy scream ever now? o_o;
I'm scared to PVP now.

I hate the new female drae so much I recustomized mine into a dude. He's... much nicer now (and it's not like I was super attached to her) I'm just... really disappointed. All the other revamps were so good (tauren! Taurentaurentauren...) I was expecting the draenei would be mindblastingly great and they're -terrible-. Maybe not female worgen terrible but still pretty bad. WTG Blizzard, make one of my favorite female models one of my least fave.

I'm honestly enjoying all my updated character models. They are all fantastic.

I'm loving the new models a lot. My girls look so much better! Especially my draenei! Lisaara, Asuula, Ashaalina, and Kikyou are all amazing looking!

I faction/server swapped my primary paladin over the weekend (due to the sale, really wish they'd included race changes and recustomizations in it too but I suppose it's for the best esp given the monetary emergencies that've piled on since I blew the $40ish bucks lol :\) and it was a REALLY REALLY tough choice between human/dwarf/draenei. Not because they're all amazing, but because they're all... NOT amazing. Draenei females came out the best but that's such a low bar to get over.

(I went with human for her, because dwarves are just a flat-out NO WAY now and the options for creating a good-looking female draenei now are so limited (two faces? maybe three if you're lucky and choose the right hairstyle to hide the eyes and eyebrows?) it was just... urgh.

And on a related note, if anybody happens to come across an addon that will automatically check or uncheck new character models when you log onto a certain race/gender combo (would probably have to be done on a name/server savedvariable basis but I could be wrong), PLEASE let me know. I never ever ever ever want the new models on if I'm logging onto my dwarves, tauren, or orcs, but would prefer them on my trolls, gnomes, or draenei.

I gotta admit, I actually really like the new draenei. Maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing the duck-face that everyone else is. Duck-face, to me, is a forceful protrusion of the lips that makes a female (or male) look incredibly derpy. I'm sorry, but I don't see it on these gals. I will admit that the mouth maybe sticks out a little more than it did, but I don't feel like it's that drastic. I actually really like their posture now, their shape (they seem a little thicker), everything. Even the eyes don't bother me. In fact, if someone hadn't pointed it out, I might not have even noticed.

I quit playing again for a while, but just reinstated my sub again yesterday due to the fact that almost all of our old guild-mates are playing again. Rather than pick up an old character, I decided to start over. At first I made a dwarf mage, but then was playing around with character creation and made a draenei mage, and ended up really liking her. ^.^

I have been enjoying my new character looks. for the most part its a mixed bag but i would say i favor the positive over the negative in this batch. I was really sad to see my undead's face straps ruined. I ended up having to kind of scrap the original look I was going for but I like how she turned out in the end and really enjoy the female undead overall. I am glad i made the choice to revive her and bring her up to 90.
Overall I have to say I love my night elf females. I have three at 90 and aside from some minor face changes I love them. I worried about them the most since i use them as my main and honestly the only thing that would make me happier is if they had scar/tattoo/piecing options.
I thought my space goats turned out ok. I actually like them for the most part and am not bothered by some of the things other players seem to have issues with. really my only gripe with them is their big weird glowing eyes. its looks fine on some of my characters; lucky my shaman still looks great and my priest has a hood over her eyes. My mage is ok... its a little bit of a weird contrast but not enough to dwell on. but my pally....I may need to get rid of her. >.< she has really dark purple skin and ended up with these weird sickly green eyes. i don't know whats more jarring, the green eyes or the thought of them being replace by the really bright blue ones.
so yeah... not a fan of the eyes but other than that I like them.
I have found that i am most disappointed with my two male nelfs right now. I feel like a lot of their faces look too rounded or squished and the hair/beard options don't do too much to help. I feel like their skin got darker and dose not match up with my characters as well. and the run! oh my god how did that escape into beta and sneak into live? I cant touch my death knight and I confine my druid to travel forms even though hes just a banker running between the Ah and the mailbox. :?

in the end the positives still outweigh the negatives. so long as they don't ruin belf males I would say that I am going to be a happy camper.

OH! I don't know why I didn't think to post this here sooner (too giddy about it for myself I guess).

For those of you who, like me, are conflicted about the new models and wish you could automatically toggle them off when you're on a character that got the short end of the stick, Choonster on the UI/Macro NA forum wrote a small addon to do just that :B I don't think he's pushed it to the major addon sites but you can get it on Github and through the original forum thread.

For any character you want the old models for, type /togglenewmodels or /tnm and it'll turn them off for you. When you log out, it'll swap back to the new models by default (but if you'd prefer to use old models on the majority of characters and new models for a specific few, you can change the default by editing the second line of core.lua).

All my female dwarves and half my female night elves are suddenly bearable to play again, hooray!

Or you could just use the Blizzard one...where you can toggle them on or off....since that's already in the settings.

Yeah the Blizzard one doesn't save it on a per-character basis though, so every time I log into my dwarves (without the addon) I have to see the hideous new dwarf model and/or spend 30 seconds (on what was likely to be a sub-5 minute session to check mail and auction houses and MAYBE do a daily) turning the models off. Noooooo thank you :P

If the Blizzard tickybox was on a per-character basis I wouldn't need an addon to do it, but unfortunately they decided that because it moved to graphic settings midway through beta (a good change since this way you can access it from the character screen if you logged in through the BDA) that it should be an account/client-wide thing. The addon fixes that problem and makes it properly a character-specific thing, which is what I desperately needed, haha.

That is true, it doesnt, which I can see that being irritating.
