OH MY EFFING GOD YES!

*fainting couch claimed for the entire wait-up*

Of course, now the great sorrow of those toys that I had but deleted, because I couldn't do anything with them. :( Fingers crossed that I was smart enough to keep *most* of them around. If not all.

Sigh, same here. :( I just did not have the space to keep most of them so I had no choice but to delete a long time ago. Most were things like quest rewards or items that you can't obtain again, and I doubt Blizzard will want to restore them all through tickets.

I wonder if there's any way they'll make the game recognize if you earned it in the past or something, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm hoping that because they're cross-faction, I'll at least be able to get *some* of them back by doing quests. However, not all of them are still available even if I *did* want to do that. D:

Fingers crossed that some trinkets which have awesomely fun effects will get turned into non-trinkets and put in the toybox, too. .... I can't tell you how much I would love a rainbow launcher in my toybox. ;)

I also just noticed...
Safari Hat
OMG YES! A permanent bag slot, Baby!

So not all 'toys' are without in-game advantages? Hell, then! Give me my rainbow launcher trinket as a 'toy' instead! Please, Blizz!

Can someone check dice? The Gnomish loaded ones and the Dwarven ones.

Neither Troll nor Dwarven dice go in the Toybox yet. I don't have the Gnomish ones to test. T__T

Totally forgot to add those to the list, doing that now, thanks!

I think it's really convenient that the Innkeeper's Daughter can be placed in the toybox. Technically that means you get a free bag spot since you don't have to carry an actual hearthstone around anymore. :) I'm honestly surprised the stones are still physical inventory items after all these years and not just a spell.

The safari hat goes in?! YAY I can't wait to see what it's like to have bagspace.

good point. especially since I'm sure we have all at one point or another deleted our stone by mistake and had to walk home and get a new one. >.>

Off topic: Does the Innkeeper's Daughter's ghost still show up? I don't think I've noticed mine since cataclysm.
On Topic: I was going to wait to see if I got a beta invite from wowhead, so I didn't flood this thread with item questions. But there's another one(Argent Tome) I'm really curious about, and the wowhead contest is a long shot anyways. Chances are it won't be, since it's currently a trinket.

Also, I think if there's a particular item you want to check, but you don't have one, you could link the item and see if the tooltip said "toy" or if it still says "trinket" or whatever. The short way to link an item is:
/run print("\124Hitem:40593\124h[1]\124h")
substituting 40593 with the item number you want to check. Using this short format of the link lets you chain more of them together on one line than normal item links (like off wowhead). Like this (all the "no longer avaliable" items from the "Items I can't personally check" list).

/run print("\124Hitem:14022\124h[1]\124h\124Hitem:14023\124h[2]\124h\124Hitem:46704\124h[3]\124h\124Hitem:3456\124h[4]\124h\124Hitem:89999\124h[5]\124h\124Hitem:90000\124h[6]\124h\124Hitem:49703\124h[7]\124h")

While it's not directly checking, it should give a fairly accurate indication I'd think. Unless "toy" doesn't show up on the in-game tooltip. If that's the case, then most of my post here is just jibberjabber.

I've seen the ghost show up on live (had her following me around in shrine last week), but I'm not in a guild on beta yet so my CD is still 30m, and it's usually on cooldown due to server crashes auto /stuck-ing people. I'll definitely keep my eye out, tho!

Meanwhile, tried to run your string and got a lengthy LUA error that basically boils down to the first line of said message: "Message: Interface\FrameXML\ChatFrame.lua:2079: Scripts are currently not allowed." :( That said, there's no guarantee that your Argent Tome won't toybox itself later on down the lineā€”the Orb of Deception is a trinket on live but it goes in the toybox just fine (while the Orb of the Sin'dorei does not and doesn't even have Use text anymore /boggle). I can't remember if I still have any alts with the Tome to transfer over to check manually, but I'll look later.

(For what it's worth, the "Toy" bit seems to show up on the tooltip both on hover-over and in links, and on the WoD version of wowhead)

ouch, I knew addons were disabled, but not even scripts? I'd feel naked without them!
Thanks for checking though. If you have a limitted number of copies, or even more likely a limited amount of time to test things out (between stucking and server crashing), don't worry about that particular item. I'm sure there's lots of other new fun things to check out. Even if the tome doesn't go account wide, I'll end up making the paladin that would have RPed with it. /sigh so many Scourge invasion goodies no longer accessible. I wish I could transmog into a druidadin and hunteradin now.

I'll see if I can coerce my inn ghost to show up on live. Maybe it matters if I have a minipet out or something.

I haven't seen the Innkeeper's Daughter since Cata either, I use it all the time as my primary hearthstone. I heard they removed her because everyone would complain about the giggly laugh each time someone hearthed?

Since I got in, I am checking all my clickies and what not. I will update with a list if I find any not currently show on the OP.

This one kinda struck me as odd. Something that murders you is a toy.

Image

Edit: That being said, I found out the hard way that currently, if you do not have a toy in your possession, it will not be added. You have to right click every toy to "add" it to the toy box. Makes me wonder about those Arch artifacts I deleted.

Fortunately, you can get them over again on a different character with leveled up Archaeology. Unless they've gone and made Arch account-wide when I wasn't looking.

Thats a good observation, but there isn't enough gold in Azeroth and Draenor combined to get to me to level Arch again

Since each character can only get each arch rare once, it would be a very easy thing for a GM ticket to restore. I personally have to get like 4 things restored... :(

EDIT: Added notes for the Pigskin and Foot Ball in the list. Currently the toybox tab has 105 items on it, but the holiday and vendor versions of those two things count separately for a total of 4 items between them. That will very likely be changed.

Has anyone tried Shushen's Spittoon yet? And what about a basic hearthstone, if the 'new' hearthstone goes in?
