Bronzes are my favorite for various reasons. Now I can have tiny whelps named after my RP chars following me around like a real dork.

Here I'll join in with everyone else! Finally! I always wondered why we could get the infinite whelplings but not the bronze ones :/ I'll have to get my butt in gear with levelling my battle pets. I never bothered with them that much...but Draenor makes me realise there's probably loads of cool pets to be caught.

I hold a special little place on my bars for my dragon pets if there's a dragon pet, I'm after it. That includes those pesky cloud serpents that run around and when you think you've done it they poof out the cage and wipe your whole team...

It looks like, according to the pet journal, this will be a rare drop from Iron Horde mobs in Blasted Lands.

I'm wondering though if down the track you'd be able to catch them in the wild like the azure whelps. Theres a quest in the burning steppes (?? - or similuar zone) i think that has you freeing baby whelps and the bronze ones are among those you help.

There's no limit of time for how long those mobs are there, right? Because I'mma grind the *HELL* out of them.

I'm thinking that these will be worth loads of gold the first few days. 10k perhaps? Push it to 15k? Part if me wants to grind one or two, sell them for a load of gold, and then get my own one at a later date. But...dragon!

Slightly off topic--we should have a thread or two, EU and US, regarding battle pets. A shop of sorts. So, people can farm these pets and then other people can say if they have one to sell or want to buy one. I was tempted to make my own thread about it...but I didn't want to make one if other people didn't agree/wouldn't be interested.

I think the reason its a rare drop is to put it in line with the other 4 Main Flight whelps, which are all rare drops themselves.

Old thread but reviving it so a second one doesn't need to be made and cause no one's talking about it-- but Bronze Whelps are live and it's been confirmed that you can continue farming for them post-event (though I'm not sure if they'll still be off Iron Horde or a zone-wide drop)!

I'm ridiculously happy I used my free 90 boost on my baby Worgen Warlock. I'm having a blast on him so far. I'm already almost as geared as my top ilvl char, his transmog was complete in the first day, I have better survivability on the Isle with him than any of my other char's which makes for great farming, and he brings me luck! I farmed for maybe, between elite orcs/ogres and the normal orcs/ogres that were on Wowhead's list for Time-Locked Box (the item that allows you to learn the whelp.) drops, probably only about 3-4 hours over 2 days (so lazy zzzz) and it dropped off one of the normal ogre's like 20min ago for me!

Well worth the grind or gold (depending on if you would prefer farming or buying off another player) for it if you've been waiting a ridiculously long time to get a hold of it for whatever reason imo. I'm in total love with mine, I'm so happy I got it so soon! Sadly it's my only "rare" whelp... I have no Azure, Red, Black, or Green... I hate mob farming soooooooooooooooooo much. Maybe my luck will hold for a little while longer and I can get at least one or two of them before it goes poof for god knows how long on me xD

I got mine at the end of my questline! whoo!

I got mine from Lupis! She got super lucky and got it pretty early and knew that bronze dragons were my thing, so she sent it to me in the mail.

I actually spent a good several minutes screaming at her I was super happy. I've wanted a bronze whelpling mini-pet since forever and finally getting one eeeeeeeeeeeee. It's not on this computer but I do have a screenie of my bronze and a friend's black whelpling. (Both are based off of RP characters and they're adorable. xD)

I haven't seen one at all either. :<

Got mine this morning after logging in and killing 46 orcs. Which puts me close to 400 kills in total, but at least I found one eventually. Some people seem to have much better luck and are getting them within 50-100 kills, but then others have reached 1000 without seeing one yet. Very finicky droprate.
