That's the ram model you can see around Loch Modan, there's even a minipet. There is a newer ram model, used for the alliance pvp mount, but I don't think there's any versions of it without armor/saddle yet.

Just a little design tip:
Never use light colors on light backgrounds.
Yellow on white is hard to read.
And never use colors on colors that are alike.
Red on brown is also hard to read.

Always try to use colors with contrast and that aren't complimentary.

Haha yeah, I know. This was meant to be like those memes with generally awful contrast and low quality. Example 1, Example 2

Just a bit of stupid fun while waiting for the next Alpha build. ;)

Oh, that was intentional?
Mea culpa, didn't get that...

Poor bear, though... He didn't deserve it! ;)

Agreeing with pretty much everyone here, would have been nice to see a new bear with a new skeleton, but then I guess they are pretty expensive to rig up...

Something a bit more like this perhaps?

(It was done pretty rough, but general idea)

I prefer Malacki's big butt bear. The only thing from the official alpha bear that bothers me is the divot in the back.

Just an amusing note...

I mentioned to my mom about the moose mount and the upcoming expac. She doesn't -really- grok WoW at all but she's like 'you really ought to have some way to train the moose for battle because they're kind of terrifying' and I told her that you could! (if you were the right class) and she's like '...Good.'

Moose are a long time coming. XD

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

The bears butt ist way to low!
Almost looks like an overbred German Shepherd...

The most prominent parts of a bears back are the shoulders and the rump.

Image

As far as my knowledge goes, these very high shoulders make the bears front paws extremely powerful.
But I never understood why... ;)

More muscle and a better fulcrum of leverage due to larger shoulderblades, probably.

Also: New druid bears (for 3/4 races) just got posted on MMOC and none of them are swaybacked. Probably this means the scrunched bear models really do just have a rigging glitch, since I think they use the same model.

It's a bit of a stretch, but this new robot model might be a Mech version of a turtle.

Also... are my eyes bad or do they also have no beard and look way more like our old bear (under the mane)? Cross fingers our replacement bears go this way (and keep hipster bear for Broken Isles)!

I think the troll bear would be the perfect replacement for the old Azeroth bears... After changing the color, ears and tusks of course.

They're clearly capable, so I don't see why they did such a good job staying true to the old Druid forms but failed with the wild bears... :s But it does give me hope that perhaps they will be tweaked.

Really really don't care for the new bear model and its pinched back, so I edited it to something I personally would have liked to have seen. I was never a fan of the old bears' skeleton. I wish they'd redone that too, but that could possibly (hopefully) still be in the works.

(edit: added the ear and a different eye)

See, now that looks much better. Still not a huge fan of the eyes, but just fixing their broken back would be a huge improvement.

That bear looks spectacular. Really wish there was a model like that ingame.
