You've got the blue mechanowolf listed as a pre-Legion tamable... except it's also listed as Not Used On Anything.

Edit: They all say not used on anything. Where does the blue robo dog happen?

I think its because the blue robo puppy is located in Gnomeregan, where as the others are in the Broken Isle. Therefore once the pre patch hits, I assume we will have access to the blue one due to location. That said it will only be assessable for gnome and Goblin hunters til legion also.

The Legion looks aren't hooked to any actual tames yet, because the NPC data isn't uploaded. It's currently just the looks only.

Yep, inside the instance. He is in the Engineering Lab (the room with the Crowd Pummler boss). You have to do a puzzle that involves getting a series of lights to all turn on in order to wake Friender up.

Most of the pre-Legion tameables have now been added, so if you go to their looks pages you should see pets.

Looks not coming until Legion will still show no pets (coming soon).

Looks that will be swapped in for older looks (bears, mana wyrms, ravens, core hounds) will also still show nothing at this stage. Unfortunately those are the first looks you see on that page at the moment. I really need to do something about that

Is there a decent chance that the black maned wolf might be made tamable by Legion? It would be a good candidate for "upgrading" one of my current pets, while retaining the same skeleton, color and overall look.

I'm still only aware of the one mob with this look and it's in a dungeon and currently untameable. However there are large numbers of them in one area and they're just in scattered packs that don't have to be killed, so hopefully they're ok to flag tameable.

The pre-Legion patch page is hopefully now complete in its coverage of the pets that will become tameable in the pre-Legion patch, as well as every replacement look that will be appearing. Please let me know if you notice anything missing or wrong. Thanks:)

Has anyone written up how to complete Friender's puzzle? (I'm not in the beta/ptr so I can't poke it myself).

There isn't a clear cut way to complete it. But basically, there are three rows of lights - each row has six lights. To complete the puzzle, all the lights on all three rows must be on. Every time you turn off a light, the one(s) next to it turn on. Every time you turn a light on, the one(s) next to it turn off. Fortunately, the three rows do not interact with eachother and there is no time limit.

And when you activate the lights, be ready cuz Friender is fast and will eat your face in a hurry.

Is he subject to frost trap? That was basically my go to solution to being face-et.

I don't believe so, but Aspect of the Turtle will do just fine. Tames are only 6 secs, and Turtle lasts about that long.

Nope. Friender cannot be slowed or stopped. You need to use Aspect of the Turtle just before hitting tame, and hope that his last attack doesn't kill you in one hit (Turtle falls off just before the tame finishes)
