To be honest, I wish they would just rename silithid to something like.. Aqir or something. That way they can stuff Nerubian Spiders and Flyers, Silithids and Kunchong into it.

Kunchong don't seem to be tameable, at least none I've seen. But I'll keep checking :)

Ah, thanks, Wain. Still, I'm really skeptical myself, so at this point, I'm not even getting my hopes up.

Another long shot but any chance someone could check the zombie bears in Krasarang Wilds? Spirit cubs & Deepwoods Spirits I think they're called.
I really really want one of these bears still

They're still undead. I was there chasing a Lost Mushan the other day.

I should also add that I won't be field testing the new families in the Broken Isles just yet. Both have bugged health. It's not scaling and they have a maximum of something like 20k health at level 100. So they generally go pop on the first hit. Hopefully it's better by next patch :)

No worries. Incidentally they still use the old model. There's been no sign of any intent to change Arcturis to the new brokeback stoner bear model, or make that skin for that model. I hope there never is. There's been no change to the new model in this build. It still has a back crease so bad you'd expect to find your lost spare change down there.

I suspect the reason they haven't is because a lynch mob would possibly form. I would rather Arc keep his old model than be changed to a see through swayback 70's hipster. I agree & hope they forget he's there and not updated.
Frankly I'm somewhat surprised they haven't fixed them yet. I'm sure it's not easy or quick to do but would be nice to be acknowledged that so many don't care for it and it looks broken.

Dumb question. Has anyone submitted a bug report on the swayback bears??
I'm sure they've more important things to worry about but maybe this isn't on their radar yet?

Through several channels.

On the forums:

It was early Alpha and not many people could reply at that point. Few Petopians had access.

Considering it doesn't remotely resemble an animal, and the Mechanical family is still a class of beasts, I seriously doubt it. Would be pretty funny though.

Yeah, Mana Saber was in the latest list of families, but I don't think it's implemented yet. The point is moot because it's currently impossible to tame anything in the Broken Isles because it always says its level is too high even if it's not. I think it's a real default level vs. "scaling level" problem. Maybe you can at 110, but I haven't got there yet.

Mana sabers honestly don't seem like such a great idea to me because (a) it's going to be the tiniest of tiny families, and (b) do we really need another family of cats?

I hope they take time to revisit pet family structure. They're going to have to revisit pet abilities since the stat buff system is changing, might as well take time to visit families too. Their scope is so inconsistent across the board and that bugs me

New build. No new skins or models that I can see. The bear is still... as it was. I also checked in case there were modifications to the Guarm skeleton, but it seems the same. The latter I'm just curious about since it feels a bit like a work in progress.

I do expect we'll see more tameables, like the stegodons etc. that still weren't tameable last patch. Just waiting for the realms to come back up to test if this is the case.

The new build is rather unstable but I managed to find settings that eventually made it less crashy.

It seems that, as expected, more stuff is tameable that missed the previous patch :)
