Help, computar probelms

the other day I tried downloading some new to date addons, I couldn't though because they opeaned with adobe reader, I know that obviously the files have been changed to that
but how do I get the old program back?
Iv'e trying for millions of times searching for what program was the original one
but I couldn't find it
so anyone who knows a few good bits about computars, you wouldn't mind telling me what program it is will you?

Install winzip or winrar (both will work) then right click the file and on the menu go to "open with" it should list the program there. Select winzip or winrar (whichever you installed) and then check the box at the bottom that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file." and it should be back to normal.

nevermind even after unzipping and extracting all new files with winrar and moving it to my addons folder it failed to work *sighs*

Make sure you have "Load out of date addons" checked in your addon list and the news ones you installed are checked.

Win Zip and Win Rar are "free" in such a way that they give you a thirty day demo, and then nag the crap out of you every time you open a file after that. If you want something that's really really free, 7-Zip would be what you want.

Actually, the commandline version of winrar is completely ad less, not that there's any reason for a non-Linux user to ever even glance at it.
