Anyone know any good cures for a sugar crash that doesn't involve more sugar... or sleep? -.- I had WAAAAAY too much sugar/chocolate for lunch (... they had this delicious looking cake in the break room... multiple layers.. with the icing as thick as the cake layers, and this like.. mousse-like icing.. and chocolate on top.. oh god it was delicious...) and I REALLY need to get some work done before the guy I'm seeing comes over today...

aerobic exercise... you'd be surprised what 10 minutes of it will do.

/Rant on

I just did 5-10 minutes of easy-going elliptical trainer (nothing too strenuous)...

this is after testing my blood sugar and finding it "ok" but not low.

and what happens after that?

my blood sugar drops radically within half an hour, to dangerous levels, and now I have to rush to eat proteins and SOME sugar to compensate.

and of course, it's another 2 hours until our supper time, so my whole schedule is screwed up now.

WHEN oh when will my doctor finally get my stupid meds fixed so I can get back to some semblance of a normal life?

/Rant 2, the sequel

and I would absolutely KILL for a huge chunk of that chocolate cake!!!!

My cat Sylvester is old VERY old. He's atleast 20 or so and I've been living with the fact I could find him dead at any time for the last few years as he's way past his used by date. In the last 3 days he's been acting alot slower than he has normaly been. He takes alot longer to walk up 2 steps (and trust me he took ages before hand!) and he's started to eat less and he ate quite alot before hand. I know he's very old and it's proberly his time to pass on soon and I understand that it's life but then again I've had him since I was 3 or so and I don't know how I'll act when he's gone. He's like my Grandma in a way they both act the same way when it comes to walking and geting up.

I just have to keep telling myself he's had a nice long happy life and accept the fact he might not see next month.

Warning...Work related rant

The customer is NOT always right, infact the Customer more often then not is 100% full of SHT and needs to go stand in the F'ing corner like a little brat untill they learn how to F'ing behave in a society!!
Yogurt is NOT A chocolate bar and I hope whoever thought that it was gets hit by a damn car so I dont have to deal with their lack of intellegence anymore!
I hope you crotchy old lady dies very soon, none of us at work like you, none of use want to help you, none of us want anything to do with you, and no I am not appologizing to YOU because I came over to HELP you when there was a mix up, YOU should be appologizing to US about the years of Whinning and Snidery you've put us ALL through.
Every single person who has been at this work place for 20- years are now casting thier eyes around for part-time jobs to cover all the hour cuts and work load increases you lil short shit fcktard that wants to be called a store manager has done! this ship is sinking faster then you can fathom, its sinking because of all the hacking you've done to the very hull of the place, the products, the service, the image...if your job was to come in and trash the place, well, you've done it!
Can't even get a damn daycare for my kid to try and pick up extra hours because there is no child care that watches a kid till 10pm+
were tredding water and slowly sinking. The economy has gone to shit!

There was a time when a company knew its responsibilities to its employee's, not who gives a Fck, were just some nameless number on a sht sheet of papper that means nothing. I cant even afford to buy food at my work place, I have to shop else where. now THAT is pisspoor company management. store discount? NOPE! even something as simple as a free cup of coffee? NOPE! Only time we get anything "nice" is expired cake or when someone doesnt pick up their specialized cake.

I am so sick of stupid people, stupid management, stupid work, and being broke!

Why, why is it wrong to want to enjoy work, to LIKE doing work, and to afford to be able to actually pay all the bills and eat WELL, without going into debt for it?

So...

There's this site that I post stories on. Erotic ones that I don't feel comfortable posting anywhere else.

It's been down for several weeks now and I finally found out what happened.

Apparently, yes, the servers it was hosted on failed...but the Sys Admin, when they replaced the servers, put them in -his- name and not that of the site owner...and is now holding the site hostage and not putting it back live because he and the woman that got him hired have staged a coup and are trying to turn the site into a financial powerhouse instead of a not-for-profit art site.

I'm furious.

All I want is a site I can post and look at porn on, without a ton of ads or pushes to buy or sell my work there. I don't want a ton of reminders that I can buy clothes with the site's logo. I don't want to be reminded every time I post one of my (admittedly) crappy drawings that I should choose a size for printings that others can buy.

If I wanted that, I would post on DA...other than DA not allowing male nudity.

Is it so much to ask that they just put the site back the way it was when I joined it?

/rant

(work related)

I'm about 3/4 of the way through what I'm working on, probably more.

and I LOVE the last section I've done... like REALLY love it.

and THAT is the problem!!! When I write something I like, I tend to freeze up afterward, afraid of not continuing with the same quality of work. Gawd I hate insecurity!!

My professor gave a pop quiz this morning, which he has never done before. I suffer from test anxiety as is, so pop quizzes really get me worked up. To make matters worse he gave it to us with 3 min left to class. We were allowed to use our notes, but with such short time the next class started to come in and were standing there waiting for their seats so I started to panic. I couldn't even read my notes or focus on the questions and just started to circle random answers. I left the class hyperventilating and was in a full panic attack by the time I got to my car. The worst part is that I know I knew this stuff, but blew it because I am a spaz :(

You'd think people would realise that if they see someone fishing in a fish pool that i'd be rude to start fishing in it yourself. Guess not :/ I've lost like 5 darkmoon pools in a row from poeople doing that and I have not cuaght a single thing!

Then again I should not be expecting WoW players to have manners >.> Or gamers in general. :/

Well technically, they're allowed to and the Darkmoon pools give really rare Cata goodies. You just need to be fast. The pool isnt yours cause you're fishing in it.

Maybe for a normal fishing pool, perhaps. But if I want a chance at rare goodies, I'm going to take it. You just gotta be fast. I got my sea horse form that pool too.

Well you can get the Sea pony from any where in the waters in Darkmoon.

I agree, not something I would ever do. I try to fish at off-times, so I won't be bothered as much. :)

I'm well aware but the sea pony is apparently upped in those pools. Plus you can get heavy savage leather, pyrite ores and other high selling things in there.

There is no evidence that the catch rate from pools is higher than from normal water.

Everyone I know has gotten the sea pony faster in those pools. I think that counts as evidence. Jet...it took her a week to get it. Mel...took a day. Mel got hers from the pool. Jet didnt. Just an example. But like I said....the pool gives lots of high selling stuff and are 'rare spawns' so to speak.
