Question: <About Youtube>

As i've found many videos (via iTouch) I can't play videos without internet, so i've been researching and I see many sites allowing you to convert youtube videos into personal videos that you can view without internet useage, however, most of those programs are pay-to-use to get the best quality, (and ima Graphics Whore when it comes to videos :S) so can anyone recommend a free program that is safe and I can do this with? Thank you!
