not sure if it counts as a movie but just finished Greys Anatomy... Cannot recommend.. The show comes of more like a soap than a tv show.

I enjoyed the 2021 Suicide Squad much better than the previous one. I may or may not have a thing for Joel Kinnaman ever since I saw him in Altered Carbon.

I saw Dune twice, once at home and once in the theatre. I was kinder to it the second time around, as I knew what to expect. My main beef with the movie is the portrayal of Jessica.

I saw Eternals. It was pretty awful. Kumail Nanjani's char was great, but everything else was just forgettable. Watched Shang Chi the next day and that was fantastic.

Oh, that's a shame about Eternals! I really like Kumail.
I'm very much looking forward to watching Shang Chi! Our cinemas were all closed when it first came out, so I'll have to see it on Disney+. Also, very happy that Simu Liu got the lead, I've followed him since Kim's Convenience

I had a more positive reaction to the Eternals than the others I saw it with. I did have a couple of issues with it that are too spoilery to talk about, but it was a large cast of characters covering a long period of time. They had to set up their backstory and get them sorted for any appearances in future mcu movies. I found it satisfying. But yeah, Shang Chi is awesome!

I finally saw Dune yesterday and really enjoyed it. I thought the design and cinematography were especially good, and the acting was (for the most part) superb - except for the very same character you mentioned: as we were walking out I said to my friend that Jessica was the only part of the movie that really disappointed me. She seemed to be almost a nervous wreck at times, and seemed to lack emotional control for someone with her training. My friend did point out that Bene Gesserit habitually appear different to who they really are, but I don’t think that was the case here, because she still acted that way in situations where she was away from scrutiny.
On the other hand, I thought Oscar Isaac was so good!

Yeah Dune was very pretty, very epic. It however failed to make me _care_ about any of the characters. Swap some of the epicness for some dialog beyond bare necessary world explanation and I might've cared. Still, I'll go watch part 2 once it's out. And yes, there were times when Jessica did not seem sufficiently Bene Gesserit, I'll agree with that.

Watched 8-Bit Christmas last night. It's no Christmas Story! I'm a little too old to have nostalgia for NES, cabbage patch kids, etc., so it might be more enjoyable for people that do.

Just had a movie evening with hubby and watched 3 movies
Tremors 7 - i loved this one cept the ending but a very good tremor movie
Deep Blue Sea 2 - ohh this is so bad it's funny to watch. All the way to the big boobed blonder who takes onba full body wetsuit but leave the zip so you get boobies cleaved to sharks screaming which you offc6can hear under water... it's sooooo bad! We had some really good laughs at dialog and inconsitensy
Deep Blue Sea 3 - had expexted something like 2 but this one is actually pretty decent. 100 times better than 2

A friend and I went to see “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, starring the brilliant Michelle Yeoh. It was incredibly chaotic, beyond strange, and altogether wonderful! It wouldn’t be for everyone, but I absolutely loved it!
