Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Also, if anyone has a hunter who can run Shrine of the Storm, and could please test the Abyssal Eels...

There's a large pack of them in the water before the final boss. They use the abyss worm model. There are similarly-named NPCs in other parts of the continent that are the new eel-serpent model.
Unfortunately I haven't got my hunter to a decent level yet. Circumstances with friends meant I chose to level my Alliance shammy first. My hunter will be in a few days.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
That's correct. I'll keep an eye out for when he spawns
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
The more I see them, the more I want the bloodticks to be tameable.
To be fair, there's a lot of stuff that should be tameable but isn't, imo. Such as Dire Toads, Alpaca, Grand Wyverns, Abyss Worms, Pigs (boar family), Pythons (no longer the critter model excuse, with toads running around), Maggots, some wild version of the Ratstallion if a model exists (as rodent)
As an aside, all bees seem to have an animation issue where, mid-idle animation, they'll go to their flying forward animation for a moment before snapping back into their idle animation.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Also, are the non-red sabertron mechakitties tameable? I'd like a green one, but...

At this time, no. Sabertron isn't working properly and only spawns the red one.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Starving Hornet uses the new silver variant. Is spawned during the Herbalism quest Giving Back to Nature. Hostile. Tamable.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
checked the abyssal eels: not tamable, no diet.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
I reported this in alpha and beta and I'm sad to see it didn't get fixed. Not surprised, just disappointed. It really lessens my enthusiasm for the pet because it's so jarring to have them do it beside you a lot.Qraljar wrote: As an aside, all bees seem to have an animation issue where, mid-idle animation, they'll go to their flying forward animation for a moment before snapping back into their idle animation.

I’m very disappointed by this too and find it difficult to play with them because as you said, it is very jarring.Vephriel wrote:I reported this in alpha and beta and I'm sad to see it didn't get fixed. Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Honestly, I feel like they didn't get done with as much as they usually do. There is just SO many discrepancies this go around, even within tameable pet families. LOOKIN' AT YOU, GIANT COBRAS AND PTERRORDAXES.
A buncha colors I -want- to tame are still flagged as untamable. :/

Wowhead lists Gesh'nar <The Swamp Scourge> as a tameable dire toad model, but is not found in game. Was this npc in beta and removed, or even found on beta?

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
It was never found. Suspected to have never been added. I've searched extensively for it and have not found it.
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Is anyone able to please check this version of the Goldcoat Stinger?
https://www.wowhead.com/npc=135769/goldcoat-stinger
It's in the same area as the other ID, but it's only spawned when you're in the middle of combat with Brawr (the big stone guy). There are some circling him before combat, but it's not that ID - kill those off and you'll find fresh ones spawning during combat. Wowhead has them flagged as tameable but that doesn't mean it won't give an 'already controlled' error or something. Thanks

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Hexed Craghopper is tameable, I didn't see it listed under goats. Sorry if it's been mentioned already.
It keeps it's special effect through dismissing, and I expect it's permanent. When I look at it in the dressing room with the npcid, it still has the special effects.

I didn't think any of those creatures retained the hex look. :O I have to run out and grab one now! Do you know if it retains it through deaths/resummons?
Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
And I just verified that it keeps it through death. I don't think any of the other cursed beasts have the effect baked in, but I could have missed checking some of them.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
None of the crows I found have it baked in sadly. Goats keep their blue stuff as second pet.
