How will I ever be able to tame any of the new families if there is no room at the stable! So many pretty new creatures that I want to befriend!

I think the krolusk family is actually called Trilobite, from their ability text: https://www.wowhead.com/spell=279410

"Bulwark: The Trilobite assumes a defensive posture, reducing damage taken by 50% for 12 sec."

It seems to be inconsistant, seeing as the family is called Krolusk in the files, but the ability says Trilobite.

Here's a theme song for your image, Qraljar;

Seriously though, I wonder why wolf is the default for new pet races. Maybe wolf was the first pet class, and all other pet classes copied the code from it?

Hmm, yeah, there are some inconsistencies there. The family database file calls the family Krolusk, which is what the NPCs are usually called in the game. Trilobite is the name of the model file, which may have resulted in a mix up when the spell text was written, but I guess we'll know for sure in the next build or so. Similarly misleading spell text mentions a Horse family, but none is listed in the family database file and I confirmed that dreamrunners are intended to be Stags "for now at least". So it seems some of the spell text is outdated, unless they intend to add natural horses to a family of their own, independent of unicorns, but I think that's unlikely. :/

Just made a new hunter on Alliance, and checked all the beasts in Tol Dagor (the intro scenario). Not a single Krolusk is tameable out there as of yet. Burnt Orange, Red, and Black variants were out there, I think.

There are Krolusks of those colors in Vol'dun, which are all tamable.

This is certainly shaping up to be just the initial pet pass, there's so many beasts that aren't flagged yet (not to mention the 'wolf' placeholders), but it's nice to see what the plans are and to have a solid idea of the upcoming families. I'm hoping a lot of the forgotten skins/models will be added later, crossing my fingers for a Skyscreamer. :D

Yeah, I get the feeling this build was released while they were in the middle of the pet stuff. Lots more to come :)

By the way, do the new model pterrordaxes fly when they follow, or do they run?

New model Pterrodax are fully grounded; no flying animations at all except when swimming (because lazy animating!)

Presuming here that all the things that are currently tameable and not obviously unintended (like sea turtles, or something like that) are here to stay, I'm starting to get pretty impressed with BfA on a pet taming level.

Most of the things I actually wanted to see tameable happened.
Krolusks, Pterrordaxes (I'd be surprised if the Skyscreamers don't end up tameable), Lizards, including Diemetradons, Toads (presuming the Dire model, too), new Raptors, Compies, Ankylodons, Cobras, Sea Eels, Unic-- Horse2, Bees, Sabertusks.

And that's on top of all the old models that got a model update, too.

The only cobra I've found is a minion to those zombie/skeletal trolls on the southern coast of Vol'dun. Where else can they be found?

Some are in the Temple of Sethraliss dungeon. There is a rare cobra in eastern Vol'dun. There is a vignette Sethrak in northern Vol'dun that summons green cobras.

So I’ve lurked here for a long time and I’ve finally registered just to ask - has anyone been able to find the white-spotted tawny hawk? I looked all over Stormsong and Drustvar with no luck so I thought I’d ask here before wasting any more time. :)
