Starting up a thread where we can gather knowledge specific to the Allied Races of BfA

According to data string INV_Belt_Armor_OrcClan_D_01, we may be getting Mag'har either at launch or later on. This data string was located in the same area as the rest of the Allied Race heritage armor.

I am hearing more and more rumblings about tomorrows Q&A and what might be announced. Also apparently Wowhead shows the Void Elf and Nighborne crests got changes:

I don't think we'll be able to play them tomorrow (though would love if we do), but I would be very surprised if they didn't start pre-orders and announce when we can play the allied races

I'm so excited for tomorrow, I was skeptical of those rumours at first but now I'm almost completely convinced they're going to announce something.

I'm not going to assume that we'll be able to play allied races tomorrow (but wow it would be amazing if we could), but I expect pre-orders might go live, and hopefully allied races soon after. :>

My only qualm right now is that the Highmountain and Nightborne feel like they have far less customization options than the Alliance races, and the Zandalari. I hope they add more, or are planning on it.

I’d be very surprised if they didn’t open up the first four allied races as an instant preorder perk. I’d probably also cry.

Indeed.. the ultimate tease... (or they change the requirements to add something new that we'll have to grind out first...)

Man, the Zandalari just have me completely floored.

From the models, to the customization, to the animations (the ones that are new/adapted/custom), to the druid travel and flight forms.

I'm guessing they are gonna announce when the new battleground is out. + Start pre-orders. And then in November or something we get a pre-launch event and get to start making allied races.

I'm just so frustrated there's been no noise about the Dark Iron.

Apparently enough that last night I actually dreamed about the Horde moving into a Zandalari temple and putting up their banners and everything and all this pomp and ceremony, then I switched to Alliance and they were being put up in a run-down 1970s roadside motel...

A pre-launch patch in November and then a launch in December or January would be a terrible idea on Blizz's part. They said that they want to get content out faster, but without sacrificing quality. Besides, if they do a pre-launch in November, what will they discuss at Blizzcon? No, August or September are our best bets.

@Nacht I posted a video over im the General tab that shows off Boralus, the Alliance capital. It is a beautiful place! As for Zandalar, according to datamined info, there won't exactly be pomp and ceremony.

A party with a bunch of Dark Irons at a roadside motel sounds kinda fun. I bet they all drove up on their choppers.

Pre orders are up!! If you pre order, you can play the new races!!!!!!

Just so everyone is aware, you need a 110 to play that faction's allied races. For example, if you main Alliance and have no 110 Horde, then you won't be able to roll a Nightborne or Highmountain.

But the pre-order comes with a 110 boost. So that is a easy solve.

If you use the boost on an Allied race, you will not get their armor. (Just a reminder)

I'm so excited that allied races launched today with the pre-order!!! At least I was, but that's been a bit dampened now.

Unfortunately I'm experiencing connection issues today with Blizz servers specifically it seems, my game refused to update, and when I tried a reinstall of the bnet client it just won't connect at all to install again. I imagine this is related to the many server issues they're having right now because of the pre-order hype, but it's still frustrating.

Also I'm, uh, not sure if I can afford to buy it at the moment anyways. T_T It's been a very slow month at work post-xmas, and I'm not getting many hours.
