With crocodiles being my favourite real life animals, you have no idea how much this would thrill me.
I'm assuming whatever the "cat" form ends up being though, it will still need to work on the current cat skeleton (for animation reasons stated above). I definitely think they can work something reptilian onto it though, I can't wait until it's finished and datamined...

Oh yeah, they could definitely make it look reptilian, and I can't see them making Feral form mammal whilst all of the others are reptiles. Can't wait to see what it is

I’m with you hoping for something else. And to be fair I think they could? They have the humanoid bear for a guardian artifact model? And didn’t they have a saberon kitty model in WoD? As long as what ever they pic has the same number of required feral Druid animations avalible, I say bring on the Dino’s!!
Looking at the FelSabre that DH’s ride (Cat skeleton), with it’s extended maw and head, I reckon they could make a crazy zandalari crocosaur version

I'd be down for a cat/reptile hybrid thingy. Just make it up I mean it's a fantasy game!
I dunno a scaly kitty. Scitty.

What about a Therapsid for cat form? Not a dinosaur, but still cool.
Or a Thylacoleo, this one is a marsupial, with meat grinders for teeth and wrists like cats for climbing/mauling. They are kinda small but I doubt that's an issue, or even a Proborhyaenidae
If they are looking for scaly there is a croc that's trying really hard to be a cat, the Pakasuchus.

Those would all be cool as Druid forms. It'll be interesting to see what Blizz does

I hope whatever future alliance allied druids there are get awesome models too. And maybe even give worgen the option for more wolf-like animal forms. I'd love their 'moonkin' form to use the Arakkoa outcast animations.

Yeah worgens like the best candidate for unique forms. Could easily get a wolf cat form. Maybe a more scruffy stag form or even a horse. Though I think their bear & flight form looks good.
Aside from that, darkspear trolls could easily get a raptor travel form like zandalari do. Just with mohawk/more colorful.

Tauren were taught Druidism by the Kaldorei, so it makes sense that their forms are similar. However, I would love it if they gave Tauren a Kodo guardian form.

There are so many options for Blizzard to make forms race appropriate. I hope they do it! It's always been odd to me that the wolves turn into cats, when there are, well, wolves they could turn into. And for tank, perhaps some kind of big, bulky dire wolf? I like the idea of a scruffy horse for travel. Flight looks good, except maybe a bit more raven-y?

The Worgen were originally going to have this as a mount.
It's a shame that they never went through with it. That would've been an excellent guardian form imo

Although it looks very similar to the armored boar mounts we got in WoD.

Similar in some ways and different in others. A leaner frame, no body spikes, straight tusks that grow just beneath the nose, and some weird snout thing that is between those two tusks.

It doesn't seem to be heavily based on one particular dinosaur. I've seen a few commenters that it may be a reference to Jurassic World and how all of the dinosaurs were, to some extent, hybrids of living and extinct animals.

The cat is a mix of Gorgonops and Velociraptor (feet only), and has the stripe pattern of an extinct marsupial called Thylacine. 10/10, rolling Zandruid no matter what.

Crawgs are the best hunter pet. Prove me wrong.
Oh wait...you can't!

Name the game these characters are from, and I'll be amazed.

The worgen mounts that never happened are the reason my worgen rides a boar.
The Zandalari "cats" are pretty amazing!

Although I do intend my Zandalari Druid to be a 'moonkin', those cat forms are
very nice indeed. As if I wasn't already sold enough on rolling one of these guys
