Well...guess I got the answer to my question. I tweeted Muffinus a bit after my last post, asking if we were ever going to get that second taming pass in 8.1. Didn't see a response to the question on Twitter, then I come here and see all these pics of newly tamable beasts on the PTR. Even if the two aren't related...thanks for the answer, Muffinus, if you still read these forums.

The Bonestripper Krolusk is tamable, and so now we have the unused blue variant

A lot of the skyscreamers around the ship on Stormsea Landing on Isle of Thunder are missing today. Unsure if it's phasing or related to dailies. I've checked others and found them tameable, though.

The Blood-Soaked Tome of Dark Whispers is now on the Flaskzertauren PTR vendor, so we can use it to test out Blood Beasts on the PTR. It's on the first page.

Good to know! It probably does drop from Zul, but killing him on the ptr is practically impossible. Glad that they're allowing us a way to test the new family

Lucille, a purple demon spider, remains untamable. Further, she has been changed from a Humanoid to a Demon.

WOO! This made my day. That and Veph's tumblr post alerting me that Skyscreamers are making it too! I'm so thrilled!

oh my precious skyscreamers! I may force myself to give up Ferocity Leech now and say bye to the Scalehide for a bit. Maybe. thats still sooooo good.
Anyway I checked a couple dread ravens and rocs. Not tameable, but I noticed they all had expanded tooltips. I am used to untameable things having diets (and knowing that isn't necessarily indicative of anything), but the fact they now have specs I found interesting.

There are a few other things that have had extended tooltips added, like the small toads in the Frogmarsh. Not sure if it means anything or not.

BTW, Hypnocroak from Draenor is finally tameable! Sadly (but expected) he doesn't keep his crazy eyes

Oh I'm so happy! Not as happy as I would be if they put in a purple Lucid Nightmare version somewhere, but this one is almost as good!!

We made a lot of requests this expansion for small colour updates to make revamps more faithful to their originals, but none of them were ever addressed. I'm afraid I don't have the highest hopes for that sort of thing at this point.
At least they're getting around to flagging beasts for taming!

I'v been away from the forums for a long long time. has anyone been able to check Oondasta in pandaria as well? last time i asked muffinus i was met with "Can you solo him yet?" I'm pretty sure that is entirely possible now so it would be nice if we could get an armored devilsaur with troll armor.
