Did Vanilla crabs always have the little mohawks?

I swear I don't remember these crabs always having the spine of hair along their backs, but now that all of our original crabs have a model update, I'm not so sure!

That's adorable! At some point they must have either removed those details or maybe it was some sort of visual glitch that was never corrected?

I never had a pet crab while playing retail. But I tamed one yesterday on my Classic Hunter to learn Claw 1. It was a pygmy crawler or something. Oh man, I did not expect them to be so cutesy. The clattering legs and the little mouth movements. I actually felt bad when I had to abandon the thing.

I can't remember CitizenSnips having one. He was a red one from Durotar I think.

Argh. I had to tame a crab to get the latest rank of Claw for my cat. The damn things are so charming, I feel guilty when I have to abandon them.

I had some in old retail, I don't remember them ever having the spine crest. However, I do love the look. Glad it is in.
