If this is true, I'm so sold...longer tails please!

It looks like there will be a level 120 boost, though I suppose the boost would really be to 50 in the xpac.

Man, that cinematic duel was disappointingly one-sided! Felt like I was re-watching The Long Night episode with Sylvanas taking the place of Arya.

How will level squish effect our ability to solo grind raids for mogs?

cant imagine I can solo molten core as lvl 60 if it scales to me..

ohh and what about ally races.. they start at lvl 20 now so lvl 5?

I can't find the quote now, but apparently they intend us to still be able to smash old raids for transmog.

I'm unsure about allied races. It makes sense, though.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe they'll go more into it in the 2nd-day sessions.

They're pretty much already set up for that, by linking tradeskills purely to an expansion / continent and not to a continuous sequence of numbers. Once the crafted items receive a related stat squish you should be able to level anywhere with relevant crafting skills. Of course not all expansions give as much value to crafting, so if you're into that then it might factor into your decision on where to level. Like, Legion was generally terrible for crafting benefits (great crafting quests and stories, just crap benefits!)

The more I read about it the less i get how the lvl system will work. Even without heirlooms you reach lvl 60 pretty quick. .So it's all going to be end game after that? Who would pick northrend rewards vs lets say Naztarr items. If you are lvl 60 for both how will rewards scale? Will all zones get WQ now so that you can get more ilvl where you want to.. e.g borean tundra vs draenor? How do they plan to keep max lvl characters intrest? Im sooo bored with the same daily grind on Tårnfalk and She's only been max lvl a couple of months. .
Defo need more info on it

From what I've read, level 1 to 10 is a new starting experience, and when you finish it Chromie asks you what era of WoW you want to go to, so everything from Vanilla to BfA will be from level 10 to 50, so if I want I can level up in Mists of Pandaria and when I finish it I'm level 50 and ready for Shadowlands. That will cut down massively on time spent trying to get to max level.

So if a person wants to do all eras for achivements they can? But if not you just rush to lvl 50 in one era and then it's all endgame grind from there?

Basically, yes. It’s just like now. You don’t have to level through every xpac or zone in order to reach max. Same goes for the changes in Shadowlands. I imagine that you will be able to access old areas much like you can now.

As for raids, they will probably just make them at some level so they will be easily soloable once you get to 50. They’re not going to take away our ability to run old content, so they’ll do something to ensure that we still can.

I wonder about flying...would that come at another level now? Especially if you decide to quest in Northrend.

Looks like DKs and DHs will start at level 1. Probably the same for allied races then.

No mention of flying, though I suspect that it’ll be something that we can get at lvl 10 since that is when we can choose which xpac we want to go do.

Allied races will start at lvl 10.
