Ardenweald is my go-to faction, hands down. I love that tree armor. Not a big fan of the super edgy gothic style of the vampires, and the other two were a tad bland, but that full wooden armor was stylish and interesting. Sure hope I can get that for my warrior and not some butchered "plate" wood set.

I will join the factions based off of what would make sense for my characters.

Confirmed level squish!

50 will be our new level, 60 will be what we level to.

Pandaren and Allied Race DKs will be in 8.3 if you pre-order the base xpac.

Base Edition: ($39.99) Includes a pre-purchase* of World of Warcraft®: Shadowlands™ and early access to Death Knights for Allied Races and Pandaren starting with the Visions of N’Zoth content update.

Heroic Edition ($59.99): Includes everything in the Base Edition, plus instant access to a Level 120 Character Boost and the Ensorcelled Everwyrm flying mount. The flying mount grants a quest for the Vestments of the Eternal Traveler transmog set.

In regards to the level squish, it is not going to be fun figuring out all of the levels for beasts throughout the xpacs.

The talent rows are still implement. You will get a talent every 10 levels, though there aren't any at 60 currently.

So for $25 more, we get a mount, pet, and transmog--not bad. Didn't the character boost used to come with the basic edition, too?

Covenants will be Central like a Garrison or Artifact.

Each will seek our aid and each will offer power and rewards.

A full endgame narrative campaign.

Two active abilities for each covenant. One general, one class-specific.

Covenants have an endgame progression system called Soulbinds. Will unlock new abilities. Not like Artifacts or HoA. Builds off of them. No Artifact Power.

A wide away of cosmetic rewards like angel wings.

The covenant sanctum is like a Garrison or the base in Suramar.

Oribos will be the main hub.

Alts will be able to choose a covenant right away.

Zones will be done in an order for your main, but can be done in any order for alts.

Endgame progression while we level. Able to make a lot of progress.

The Maw is a max-level zone. Fearsome area, free-form outdoor gameplay.

No hearthstones in the Maw. No vendors.

Torghast is an ever-changing dungeon. Can enter solo or bring up to four friends.

Can earn permanent rewards.

Rewards that change how our spells work.

Eight dungeons. Four for level up: The Necrotic Wake, the Plaguefall, Mists of Tirna Scithe, Hall of Atonement.

Max level dungeons: Spires of Ascension, Theater of Pain, The Other Side, Sanguine Depths.

Castle Nathria raid. Basically like Dracula’s castle.

Core philosophy of Shadowlands: Focus on player agency.

profession updates with being able to have the stats you want.

Weekly loot chest will have loot options for us to choose.

Shadowlands legendaries. You can work toward them and craft them rather than them being RNG.

Return to class identity. Returning lost abilities.

Leveling updates: a streamlined leveling experience. 50 to 60 in Shadowlands. Everything in between 1-119 will be scaled somewhere in between 1-50.

Every level should unlock something.

A modern new player experience. Can play any xpac at any level.

Character customization: new customization for old races. More options than ever before. Tattoos for trolls. Wildhammer tattoos. Different skins for undead, like hidden bones.

Everyone can be a DK.

So, Oribos is like Sigil (if you ever played D&D Plaescape) :)

Draenei will be able to change the length of their tail, add various crystalline jewelry, and have new hairstyles that incorporate some of those crystals.

Sounds like it yes. My humble opinion on Shadowland zones and their DND equivalent:

Revendreth looks like it resembles Ravenloft (all forms of evil).
Ardenweald looks like it resembles Arborea (chaotic good).
Maldraxxus looks like it resembles the 3rd level of Baator called Minauros, which is basically one massive, disgusting bog / swamp (lawful evil).
Bastion looks like it resembles various parts of Mount Celestia (lawful good).

On a side note, I understand that “The Maw” best resembles Ravenloft in terms of both being nearly impossible to escape, but the landscape of Revendreth reminds me so much of Ravenloft’s gothic theme, especially when it comes to Strahd‘s vampire domain.

Just wanted to put that disclaimer out there 😁

When was this shown? I didn't catch it.
EDIT: I see the post on wowhead, but no source to confirm it.

It was in an interview with Muffinus.

One of the upcoming rewards from each of the Shadowlands Covenants is a Battle Pet exclusive to each Covenant. These pets will have secret interactions! An example given by Feasel is a slime that comes from the Necrolords of Maldraxxus that can eat slime pools and spit out items.

"(...) a covenant specific pet, some of which have specific purposes in the zone. bring out your slime pet in Maldraxxus, it has a specific function, where it goes and eats up slime pools and gets you items. We want everything to feel like it interacts more with the world."

The original DK starting zone will stay. There will be a new one if you make a Pandaren or Allied Race DK, but it will be more like the Allied Race acquisition questline in the length.

More information regarding covenants:

"You can only use the Covenant rewards if you're a member of the Covenant."
"After selecting a Covenant, you are able to switch. But there is a steep price involved."
"If you like the Covenant rewards from one, but need to use another Covenant for combat... sorry."
