Guess I am the only one, then.

I really don't see the issue.

Up close, the mawroach resolution isn't actually too bad, no worse than the new glimmerflies (which are tameable). They could easily become tameable.

You're not. There are lots of models that can work as either. Like every other beetle.

That was my pov. When I look at it, sure it's less of a tank in terms of physiology, but resolution and polygon wise, it seems higher res than the Aqir beetle (which I love, not trying to throw it under the bus or anything. )

Plus, beetles are a lot smaller tamed than they used to be.

I would snap up a beetle like that as a full on hunter pet!

A blue etherwyrm (Gluttonous Etherwyrm, min. taming level 52), in the far south of Bastion.

But THIS is what I've waited four expansions to tame! I've finally found a tameable windsteed!!

This is a Bronzeback Stag, located in the middle of the zone, off the east side of the road. It's classed as a Stag. I'd kinda like to see these get their own family, since they're special, magical creatures, but Stag is better than nothing :)

The rest of the windsteeds don't seem to be tameable yet, but their colours are:

I'm really hoping to be able to tame a white one and a red one, but I think they're all really stunning work.

Saw those were tameable on wowhead's database, but I assumed they were just duplicate unused NPCs. Glad to see they're tameable.

Those Maw Roaches would match well with the Firelands spiders.

I will, as soon as Beehemoth is up and I can confirm the tame :) Sometimes unexpected things prevent tames and I don't want to hype it prematurely. I've been watching for it daily and it surely has to be up soon!

Also, does anyone know how to get the Caverndark Terror in Nazjatar to spawn? I've been watching for it for *days* now, as it has the currently untameable "black with red luminescence" spider crab look. The only Wowhead comments suggest it's up a lot of the time, so either it's buggy on the Alpha or there's some hidden trigger that we're not familiar with because there's always been enough activity in Nazj to activate it. :/ (I've tried killing loads and loads of spider crabs).

It might just be bugged. Anytime I went by there on Live it was up.

It's possible there's a max. no. of rares that can be up at once, because I just went out and killed maybe 8-10 rares in the zone and it suddenly appeared, after days of absence.

Three appearances that are untameable in BfA because of level, but will be obtainable in Shadowlands:

Shiz'naraz should probably keep her name when tamed.

I'm yet to check Beehemoth.

Oh, I forgot about things that will be obtainable come the new expansion.

Can't wait to tame the Beehemoth. <3

Also, have any of the Helheim hounds been found and able to be tamed yet? I've been wishing for that model to be tamable ever since I first saw Guarm back in Legion...

They will only be found in Maldraxxus, which has yet to be made available. Once it does, I am sure that there will be some that can be tamed. :)

Actually, they're also in Revendreth :) But currently untameable.

I've now added NPC data for all the Bastion stuff. Next I have to modify the 9.0 page to show which looks are and aren't tameable at this stage.

Of course it's early and the tameability status of many of these are going to change, plus beasts will be removed and others added. So I'm setting myself up for a huge amount of corrections by adding them this early. But I wanted to get them in so I can start flagging the ones that aren't tameable but should be.

List of upcoming stuff that could be made tameable: https://www.wow-petopia.com/tamecheck.php (Bastion and old world only)

I'm omitting any old world horses until I can confirm they're meant to be tameable.
