Fixed. Thanks! They must have fixed it because it's a key quest NPC.MaximumOverdrive wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 2:22 am Wain, it now says in game with Beast Lore that Nesting Valeschrieker cannot be tamed.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
That's pretty disappointing. Glad I tamed mine before they "fixed" that. A better solution would've been making it respawn in the aggroed state if you're on that stage of the quest, and it's not been killed for credit. Flipping the switch is a bad move.
EDIT: Or just make taming it count as completing the quest. MUCH easier, and a better fix.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I would like to point out that, despite searching for days, Old Ardeite has not spawned. I don't know if it's just EXTREMELY rare, or it senses I want the battle pet to complete my baby teroclaw collection, but I've not once seen it on live. Likewise, The Slumbering Emperor isn't always up. Hasn't been up all day for me.

I’ve seen both of them multiple times, so they are around.

Vull'kaz the Earthbreaker doesn't keep its name when tamed, RIP.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Must’ve been a recent change since they did not originally have saddles.
Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Awesome, thanks for this! I'll add them to the database I'd been holding off because the dungeon boss is probably unintended and not a good thing to promote, but I'll add the model for sure now.
Also, are these the same IDs as ones we already have listed, just with a changed look?

I kept a look out to help with screenshots after seeing this and can now confirm that the short mane and tail variant exists:MaximumOverdrive wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 4:04 am I saw one of the new zebra models in game in Oribos, being escorted by one of those cartel dudes. I forgot to get a screen tho, but they are in game.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Perhaps if it is ever flagged as tamable and we get a SL version of the Sliver, then perhaps we’ll be able to tame it

That would be sick, I want the zebra with the high Rez model and realistic stripes which is the beast feature about the horse modeled zebras

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I thought that we needed confirmation that the model exists in game, I wasn't suggesting that this NPC should be tameable. Sorry.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
No reason to be sorry It is good to know that the model does exist. Can be added to the database and an eye can be kept on it now.

Just a reminder: Even with new expansions, don't forget about older content. You never know what availabilities are now implemented.

Were you looking up? He spawns waaaay above the treeline in the sky, you have to use the faerie wings to go up and pull him down.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 4:45 am I would like to point out that, despite searching for days, Old Ardeite has not spawned. Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
I tamed one of those elites in maldraxxus, with the saddles. All day today, even after dismissing, he has this effect. No buffs/debuffs... no idea what it is. But I wish it'd stay forever, looks pretty nice xD

I saw someone asking why their clefthoof (Faultline) was showing this effect. I had no answer for them. Here:

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
After getting the quest item from Worldedge Gorger to get a Loyal Gorger mount and doing the quests, I've really grown fond of them. They're a really good combination between ugly and cute that's endearing.
So I guess what I'm saying is: tameable Gorgers when?

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread
Gorgers and Animites have both shown that it is possible to tame them. Devourers, which are the more humanoid ones, have shown so far that they cannot be controlled in any form. I think that it would be good if they made a new family for Gorgers and Animites in 9.1, kind of like what they did for blood beasts in 8.1
