I recently seen an alliance hunter with one of those, and it has the Oil Coat buff wich give them that black aura

Somebody know how to make the Oil Coat stay after taming? i think i tamed the whole area with no results, they all lose the aura to become the average worg

Help me please


Edit: i even opened a ticket with a GM and after payimg him a joke for the clue he told me "you must tame a slightly different one on the same area" but they look the same to me, lvl 70 or 71 is the only difference and they all lose the Oil Coat

Sadly, there is not way to keep the oil aura. They all lose it.

How recently was it? Because GMs don't answer that quickly...

Yes but im telling you that there´s a dude out there with a wolf which kept the Oil Coat

*nods* As far as we all know there have never been any of the oil covered pets that retain that after taming.

I know there's glitches that sometimes occur when a pet momentarily appears as it's non-tamed version (large size, original nameplate, etc). Perhaps it did that? Or I wonder if sometimes when the pet 'loads' it quickly displays the oil appearance briefly. *scratches chin*

Anyways, I'm still thinking it's some sort of glitch, but if you can find us proof that there's a tameable oil animal we'd love to hear about it. x)

Thought I just had. If you remember the guy's name, and have room on that server, just roll an ally quick and ask him how his wolf kept the aura.

Though I agree with others that it was probably just a clitch or maybe some sort of temporary debuff that just happened to look similar.

Gotcha! if you want more ss lemme now, but you can see the aura and Oil Coat very clear . Name of the wolf is Rasta, owner Irime, server Dun Modr alliance

Heya all,

After got a million question about my wolf, here is what I know about it.

The buff is just cosmetic, only the visual effect is on the wolf, compared mine with the rest of wolfs have the same stats, armor, etc...

And the way I got it, I was leveling Irime and just had a tank pet on my stable (a gorilla). I saw this wolfs and tamed over 100 (can not remember the number exactly, but i know was over 100 cause i counted till that number and short after it got it), till I got the pet with the buff. If can help in any way, at that time i did not made the quest with this wolfs involved, the one you must feed them.
