Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I had Shy Rotam. I see them all the time. I love the noises they make. x3
Cats dont do as much as they used to though.

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I WOULD use him...but he looks silly with an orc. When my night elf hunter can tame him that cat will be his main.

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I had her once, she was super common on my server. I still see a lot of Winterspring cats around in Dal. Perhaps it varies between servers?

I just stayed around Frostsaber Rock or whatever it's called. She pats around a lot.

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
Usually she'll pat just outside that area. You know on the left hand side before you go into that big area where frostsabre rock is? Right before you get in on the left hand side there will be frostsabres and cubs around that area. She usually spawns there. It's rare for me not to find her at that spot. It's hard trying to describe it but its the area right before you go into frostsabre area, on the path to the left hand side with all the kitties. She does also go into the area but normally I find her on that left hand side.
thank you Ashaine and Kurenio!!!!

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I had Rakshiri for a while and really enjoyed her. I plan on getting Rakshiri back after Cata. I don't see many around either. Cats in general are not that abundant, though I think like Sarayana said, it varies by server.

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
i used to have rak shiri i would say the best place is by frost saber rock since rak pats around it,f or you can run his whole pat area wihich is by frost saber rock and where the other kitties are in the area.
but yeah i would say it varies by server i know on nesingwary, you dont see alot of cats at all, even the lower lvls seem to have veered away fromn them and to just tank pets and wolves.

Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I cheated and left the quest to kill Shy Rotam open for both Rakshiri's skin and the white lion skin

Wut?
Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
When I grabbed Rak's picture one time, I saw her at the spot where everyone else says she can be found. She can walk up to as close to the road as she could from what I've seen.
Re: On the hunt for Rak'shiri!
I have Shy Rotam, and have been using him heavily up until 80. As for the skin's popularity - there was time around Wrath release when a lot of hunters on my server had purple Winterspring cats, aquatic were kind of rare since most people either didn't bother looking for Rak, or have done the quest previously. I think they are mostly rare now simply because all cats are rare due to them not being that strong any more.
I only wish I didn't complete that stupid quest so that I could always retake it and retame Shy if I desparetely need to free a stable slot. With Cataclysm's stable size I shouldn't have that problem however.
And I also do agree that they just don't look too good with all the races: they don't particularly match orcs and taurens visually mostly due to color. Actually undead with a purple cat will look quite funny.
