Kas's New Loque'nahak...

Unread post by Kastarakovski »

Today, 4/2/2010 is my 28th Birthday *waves little flag*
So, this morning, I logged in, hoping to make it a double shot (with finding Aotona the previous two nights before) and up the ante in Kas's search for Loque/Krush.

Well, before work, I had no luck in spotting either of them. Oh well. Went to work, suffered four hours of menial and trivial B.S., came home, logged on. There in the AH is Loque'nahak's Severed Fang. I think "Oh you gotta be kidding me!" and lose a good chunk of my hope and sanity. He was probably killed the four hour timespan whilst I was at work. Sheeet DX!

Well, I'm going out to dinner at around 7pm. I take a shower, get dressed and then think to myself, "Well, why not one more shot before we leave?", and I log on and into, the Sholazar Basin. I take to the air, head straight for that little spot where Laz found Tiberias...and...BOOM.

"YOU WILL DIE!" goes off and there on my screen is NPC_Scan's little iconage with, you guessed it, Loque'nahak! I stop breathing for the three seconds it takes me to flip the camera around and there, right below us, fading into view, is Loque himself. OMFGLOQUE! Land, wait a tumultuous ten seconds to abandon dummy pet, drop trap, hit tame. And yes, you guessed it, I pulled aggro from a sabercat with five seconds left on the timer (it's always the way!). There's a flash of blue and Kas's new baby starts tearing the sabercat a new one, whilst Kas stands there grinning like a goofy idiot XD!

There were two other level 76 hunters, one Horde, one Alliance, when I took off. Had I been five minutes later...

And now he needs a worthy name...

I had originally considered:
"Faruk" ["He Who Distinguishes True From False" - Egyptian]
"Ragavan" ["Wish" - Hindu]
"Illanipi" ["Amazing" - Native American]
"Negasi" ["He Who Will Become King" - Ethiopian]
But the creator in me isn't drawn to use any of these names.

I'd really like something that has a meaning behind it, whether it be legend, fable, or just plain worldwide =D

Ooooooh, I'm very drawn to Stjärnfall, there! It also seems an apt description of how Loque first appeared in the Basin, as a falling star from the vast reaches of the Drak'Tharon Empire when it fell...

The gears of creativity be turning, mon!

EDIT: Kas's latest addition is now named Stjärnfall, after his tumultuous journey from the side of his mate Har'koa to the jungles of the Basin. Thank you kindly, Saturo!

Happy birthday :) With the Aotona and Loque double whammy, I'm guessing your friends and family will have a hard time impressing you with their gifts :P

Great birthday present! Stupid Baron gave me his horse for mine. All -I- wanted was abloody runecloth.

(At first, I really, really, really hated the horse. I thought it was ugly and always prayed it didn't drop. On my birthday, I need runecloth, and Strath seemed like the best place. Whne the horse dropped, I screamed both in RL and in guild. "NOOOooooo!" He's grown on me now though. :p)

Haha, nice story. Too bad Loque didn't have a ribbon tied on his head.

Yay for taming spirit beasts, congrats! Whenever I see that one, the first thing that comes to mind is the leopard from Tarzan.
So maybe Sabor or Sheeta?

I'd say Stjärnfall is better translated into either Metier
Rain / Shower or just simply Falling Star

Meteor rain in that case. But falling star is the best translation yet. I just made it stars because Stjärnfall is really a plural (is it called this in English too?) form.

So your Swedish! Not on a spaceship! HAHA

Yes plural is the correct word in English :)

For some reason, Loque'nahak looks really freakin' sweet in this picture. I've seen other pictures of him but that one just makes him look awesome! Stjärnfall is a great name, btw!
