Anyone know if they are tameable?

Nope, they're not, went and did a bit of a Beast Lore spree in Outlands

Should make them tameable, slap them in the Sporebat family and rename to Sporebeasts. I'd love a pet of the Black Stalker skin from Underbog.

I would love this so much too. My favourite colour for the model is the Black Stalker in Black Morass, if they could make that tameable akin to the boss from Gundrak I would just squee for hours. They look so epic.

I always wanted one of these -- I remember squeeing over them when I first saw one in Zangamarsh, then being so disappointed when Beast Lore said they weren't tamable. I had a name picked out and everything, Wells (after H.G. Wells, since they look so much like the alien tripod walkers in The War of the Worlds)

Maybe in a future patch? Please Blizzard? Pretty please?

The only trouble I have envisioning these guys as pets is that they would look pretty silly using dash or charge...

Most things that are too large to look right using dash can still pretty much get away with doing charge (quick burst as opposed to a sustained lope), but these guys are another matter...
