Had a really fun PuG on my hunter the other day - very good tank for FoS, who did everything right, except when trying to do a LoS pull he backed off the edge of the platform

He was a good sport about the amount we took the mick.

Bwahahahahahah! I kind of love those groups where things don't go perfectly... because people tend to loosen up a bit and start chatting.

My crappy group today was more of a falling apart group. Everyone was chatting and friendly and all, the tank seemed to know what he was doing, the healer seemed to know what he was doing, and if the mage was a little heavy on the blizzard, well, that wasn't the end of the world.

Halls of Stone. Get through like three trash packs, are JUST about to start tackling that area just before the stone tunnel that leads to the first boss. All of a sudden, "Balls," says the tank, and leaves group.

The rest of us just kinda stand there for a minute, like, "Um, srsly?"

We re-que for a tank, but while it says the average time is 3 seconds, we wiat for about 3 minutes. Then the rogue says, "well, back to questing, good luck," and ditches.

The shammy healer waits about thirty seconds more, then says, "time to try all over," and ditches too.

The mages leaves half a second later and then I'm all alone and didn't get Taigi's badges for the day.

Leveled my Shammy healer 100% through the RDF, many good runs, far to many bad ones. I've gotten many griefs near the start of the dungeon for not dropping my totems right away, or for being slow on heals (even thoug hthe group lives) I've tried to explain that in the first fe trash pulls, I like to judge the strength of the group to see what kind of damage I should expect from which players. Sometimes they are fine with that, and other times they start bitching...seriously...bithching at the healer... ... not smart.
I will say though that once the dungeons get underway, I've had many people tell me that I am am awsome healer. Groups very rarely wipe (although I do have a really bad time healing that one fight in the room with the sword (where those waves of mobs are) and the trash mobs leading to the last boss in the other dungeon (the one with the ice cave gauntlet). Other then that, very few wipes. The thing that really gets me in randoms though are the complainers...I just dont understand why they think that constantly complaining about everything with a random group of people is a good idea.

It's easier to complain about others than it is to shut up and do better. It's terrible, really. >_<

Seriously.

On my mage...got randomed into Shadowfang Keep. No biggie. There was a pally(tank), warlock, myself(mage), hunter, and a priest.

Problem 1: I was 2 levels lower than everyone else(lvl 18 while they were 20) yet still out DPSing everyone except the warlock. I don't get Blizzard til lvl 20.
Problem 2: Warlock refused to use his imp. He used the voidwalker with the taunt ON. ><; And kept pulling from the tank...constantly. He refused to turn off the taunt as well.
Problem 3: Hunter started screaming at me for not doing enough dps as a mage, despite according to recount, the hunter was doing half the dps everyone else was.

I left them, waited 15 minutes, then requed. Guess what? I got plopped in the same group 15 minutes later. Seriously....30 minutes and still hadnt gotten to the first boss in SFK. I left again and made sure to wait an hour....ugh.

You should have just put the hunter on ignore. That would solve the problem of getting the same group again and you'd never have to worry about crappy, complaining hunter again.

I was in a group for the prison part of BRD the other night. At first, we downed the mobs in the big room just fine, then the tank decided to take that narrow hallway to the prison boss. It's that narrow stone brick hallway with a slightly big room followed by four smaller rooms. After getting the mobs at that first part of the hallway, the tank did not bother to attack the mobs that were in those rooms; he ran right through the whole hallway to the boss. As I was passing the second set of rooms, I got the aggro and the tank didn't bother to come up to take the aggro off of me or the rogue that desperately tried and failed. After the rogue and I wiped, the tank and the healer eventually wiped, too, after the healer got feared into more groups of mobs outside that room. I made a point when coming back to BRD that avoiding those mobs is not a smart idea at all. The tank eventually left after returning to the instance then the rest did.

Looks like there was a desperate moment where the tank really thought he was immortal, and no, he wasn't a pally.

You should have just put the hunter on ignore. That would solve the problem of getting the same group again and you'd never have to worry about crappy, complaining hunter again.

Something to put an ignore on that guy. He's just another somebody that thinks BM hunters should not be in raids.

Do us all a favor and STFU and worry about YOURSELF rather than the rest of us. BTW, in my ICC25 group, we have a BM AND frost mage. Both are usually in the top 5 dps, out dpsing a fire mage and a MM hunter. So again...STFU and MYOB." then proceeed with the /ignore.

That would work, except ignoring somebody while you're still in a raidgroup with them is a bad idea. Also, Fire isn't the best Mage spec ATM, so your argument is kinda' nullified.

it's a shame the raid dissolved..I was looking forward to making him eat those words... I find a good dose of high dps from the not raid spec usually does wonders

Well normally I don't do that if its my set group but if its a pug, I gladly /ignore cause I could care less if they live or die. They won't get battle rezzes from me. >D

Really? I've heard Fire is the highest dps raid spec if the gear is high enough, much like how MM is highest if you got high enough gear.

A frost mage shouldn't be outdpsing a fire mage in PvE at the moment, though, lol. There's gotta be a HUGE gear/skill difference there. xD

I find it hilarious that that mage was giving you a hard time because he already knew the other hunter was no good. Why piss off the hunter you don't know anything about, seriously?

I also find it amusing that Twisting Nether is apparently in the same battlegroup as Dethecus. I'll be sure to own this guy in the face should I ever see him.

Huh...I've gone into ICC and done quite fine as a BM hunter (with my devilsaur), without any problems. If I do get any I calmly tell them it's because I've always been BM, then don't answer any more whispers about the subject. Usually does the trick in getting people off my back about it..but that's just me.

Luckily only had to do this twice so far..but some people whine no matter what you do.

That makes me sad that people are still going on about it. I mean why can't you play what you want and that the mage didn't realize that you seriosly wanted to end the converstation.
I love/hate frost mages, hating being counted only when I challenge one...it's hard as heck. But they are lovable.

Sadly haven't been doing dungeons lately so not many complaining. Maybe that's a happy thing! XD

Well, I've been experiencing this situation quite a bit, and I am quite sure you have, too. If a wipe or a near-wipe happens, the tank will instantly ditch group once he returns to the dungeon. Last night for me was no exception.

I was in a group with some folks for the Service Entrance to Strat: a pally, a rogue, me the hunter, and two priests. Not long we encountered undead mobs plus one that screams, "The living are here!" We didn't kill him fast enough and extra adds came. That resulted in a near-wipe with me surviving. As soon as the tank returned to the dungeon, he ditched us. During the 40 minutes of seemingly endless wait with me and the others, the rogue ditched us but we instantly had a replacement for a dps. We did eventually invite another tank and we got back in. However, our dps replacement never entered the instance with us and ended up disconnecting. Since none of us had the key, the tank invited a level 69 from his realm to help us get far enough till we got to the boss that had the key. We immediately got another replacement. We did have another near-wipe when the dozen adds came after we killed the abomination boss before we got to Rivendare with me and the tank surviving (I didn't FD that time). Unfortunately, no mount but I got my dungeon run achievement not long afterward, nevertheless.

I am honestly detesting the kind of tanks that are very quiet. That usually means they are the ones that fill in a tank space for dungeon groups but do they really care about the rest of us? They are also the kinds that pretend they're god and if they die, they bail. Why, oh why do we have people like them?
