Valinai's Stable:
Moros - White Devilsaur from Un'Goro Crater. Tamed b/c he's WHITE and is good DPS for dungeons/raids. The Name? Mythology name; personification of doom. Thought it was a good one for the big guy.
Maturin - My lovely whitish/pinkypurple turtle that was with me and the hubby for a good portion of our "middle" levels. Named after the turtle from "The Dark Tower" series by Stephen King. The turtle in that series is also named after another turtle from a story.
Taj - Frostsaber Pride Watcher. I LOVE his fade out effect. Not only does it mean that the pet is semi transparent so he doesn't hog up part of the screen during strange camera rotations or what-have-you, but the auditory cue of his fading to stealth meant "combat is over!" His name means "crown". One day, when I get Gondria, I shall tell everyone that Taj went through some of his own changes at level 80, and now he looks like that!

Skatha - The most recent addition to the stable, prepping for when I dual spec to MM and will need a DPS pet. Ironjaw from Outland. Technically speaking, I believe it was a male. But once it's tamed, it's mine. And for some reason, I just felt this beast was going to have a girl name. Went through a lot of options finally settled on Skatha, a Celtic warrior/goddess.
Released from the Fold:
Aeolus - My first pet, tamed on recommendation from a friend. White owl. He was a good pet, but I didn't like the constant flapping sound in my ears or the way his wings took up the vital part of the screen somehow. It was hard, but I knew he needed to be free. Mythological name, god of winds.
Torgeir - There have been two incarnations of Torgeir. One was a Ghost Paw from Ashenvale. The other, the white corehound from Azuremyst Isle. I was hard up for money for a while, so couldn't buy a new slot. Had to make room a couple times. And soloing or pairing up with one other person meant I needed a tanking pet. Name means "Thor's Hammer". I'll find a new incarnation of him out there, somewhere...
