just got it at Tanaris a few minutes after midnight. was alt-tabbed watching tv, heard a roar, tabbed back in. this is what happened:

From what I've read of the topic so far, the major "hot spots" are:
Tanaris
Wetlands (a very common post)
Blasted Lands
Arathi Highlands
Thousand Needles
South Barrens
Winterspring
East/West PL

I would say to read some of it yourself though, to get a better grasp of times/locations related to your realm(s). ^^

At least we managed to get the most common locations from it. There's also still stuff on youtube and I'm sure there will be new Deathwing topics.

I finally got hit last night in Wetlands where I was camped out. Guildie just happened to be in the area questing and got hit too lol. Takes patience and time, if you really want it but don't wanna wait to get blasted as you wander around Azeroth, best way to do it is a camp out. We hunters are used to camping, only this camp is painless, don't need to fight to stay awake, can afk as long as you don't let yourself log out, don't really need to pay attention at all, and heck, best of all, company is always welcome! No competition for death, no sir-ee.

So... I was in Twilight Highlands picking up some crafting patterns when the screen goes red. Worrying that I'm not going to get hit over in Dragonmaw Port I frantically head inland. 50 seconds later the screen clears again, with no Deathwing having been spotted by yours truly. Dejected and annoyed at his fickleness I fly around for a bit more and come across what seems to be his fire trail. As I skim to top of his flames I somehow get a [Stood in the Fire] achievement pop up! I didn't even take any damage! Clearly I have outsmarted Deathwing!

Yeah, the last hotfix made it possible to get the achievement from walking into his fire.

I got BBQ'd by him yesterday ^^ I was reading this thread in the morning and thought the event had finished as I haven't heard anyone talk about it on my realm in a while. Then while I was exploring Uldum last night the sky goes red and I'm like 'whoa, is the game about to die or is this meant to happen?', and then people in general start yelling that Deathwing is coming. I landed in a panic and wondered where to go to see him and get this achievement, when he flew over head!!! A fiery death soon followed I wish I got screenshots now, but I was so excited lol
