Goblin only Pets
So I created a Goblin Hunter and was actually aiming for "Spiny Raptor" and "Bomb-Throwing Monkey" as my first 2 pets.
But I just realized there doesn't seem to be a stable master on the Lost Isles and I can't get a second pet before level 18.
From what I've read so far though, Lost Isles are supposed to be for levels 1-15 (well more like 5-15) and after you leave you can't return there.
So what's my best chance to get both of those pets now? Do I have to grind to 18 on green mobs there before I leave, or is it possible to get back there by recalling? Or is there actually a Stable Master there that I'm not aware of?
Well in the worst case I'm going to ditch the idea of getting the Bomb-Throwing Monkey and settle with just the Spiny Raptor, because I can at least get a similar looking monkey later in Stranglethorn Vale. But still, if it's possible to get both of these pet's, I'd prefer getting the Monkey early.
Any further insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Goblin only Pets
well, you can get the monkey from deadmines if i remember correctly, so there shouldnt be any problem to get a monkey early
Lots of thanks for TygerDarkstorm for the awesome sig!! =D

the deamines monkeys are different though.
well I could always get the stranglethorn monkey though, since it's basically the same as the Lost Isles ones.
It's just that I actually planned ahead and just noticed that I seem to be stuck at a single pet as a Goblin Hunter before leaving Lost Isles.

Re: Goblin only Pets
Hmm. I'm pretty certain there are no stablemasters on the island, so your only option would be to arrange to group with a warlock and 1 other who are in one of the main cities, and have them summon you each time you have a new pet to add to the stables, then you hearth back to lowbie area, rinse/repeat till you've got everything you want.
Short of that I think you have to pick just one.
I don't remember exactly how many types of monkeys were available as they are just not my thing... but I know raptors come in 2 flavors - color changers (lvl 10-11 iirc), who can be red, green, purple or yellow... and the younger lvl 5-6 teraptors that are all yellow (that's the one I ended up taking - I was afraid the color changers would be like having a blinking Christmas tree lol).

Re: Goblin only Pets
The lack of stable masters is a pain.
Spiny (color changer) raptors ARE available after the volcano blows. You have to climb right up the face of the volcano and then head east over the ridge to a meadow behind the (now ruined) pygmy village. There are 5-6 raptors still there, but nowhere else on the islands.
Also available after the volcano erupts are:
Panthers, Ancient turtle, Lower level spiky raptors, Bomb throwing monkeys. (Mining monkeys with picks all were gassed!)
I grabbed a colour-changer just before completing the quests to get off the island. My hearth was automatically reset to the beach near Org once completed, so you cant use that to return to the isles. Warlock summons as mentioned earlier would probably work.

Re: Goblin only Pets
Me and my friends tried summon someones goblin alt to orgrimmar and he got a message that he wasn't allowed to leave the goblin-zone until he had fullfilled his destiny or something so that wont work.
Re: Goblin only Pets
I think what they meant was they were going to summon someone who's already done all of the starting goblin quests back to the goblin area.
The only thing i would be concerned with is if it just phases you out.
Like gilneas..
i went back there after i had azeroth flying, and the area was completely empty ;a;
always worth a try though!
good luck with your situation~
(i hope you manage to get both ^^ )

Re: Goblin only Pets
Thread necro. Someone said that the color changer raptors were no longer available after volcano. I've run another goblin through the starter area and can confirm that they ARE infact still there in the far north east. entry to the area is at about 63,60.

Actually, what they said are that they *are* available after the volcano. In fact,Cryptography wrote:Thread necro. Someone said that the color changer raptors were no longer available after volcano. Actually no I did mean to get a lock summon prior to completing all goblin quests - interesting to hear that won't work.Dizzy wrote:I think what they meant was they were going to summon someone who's already done all of the starting goblin quests back to the goblin area.

Re: Goblin only Pets
There might be short window during which you can get summoned out (but I don't know). After you complete all quests, you have the one that's the first one with objective in the open world (speak to the dude on the bridge near Orgrimmar). If at this point you count as "having completed your destiny" (so the NPC can port you outside the islands), maybe warlock can summon you to Org, then you stable your pet, hearth back into the island (since you didn't use the NPC, your hearth shouldn't have been changed), tame the new pet, and then use the NPC to permamently port out. Worth a try, eh?

Re: Goblin only Pets
You can stay there before leaving and grind up to level 18 is what I would do. May take a bit but it might be worth it.
