Seeing as I currently play a total of 6 Hunters, and perhaps even more once the Cataclysm expansion is released, I have recently found myself lacking inspiration for new and future pet names.
Here is a brief summary about my hunter and her pet(s).
Kadija is one of my newest hunters. She is a lvl 30 Troll who prefers the unconventional and solitary lifestyle of hunting. A bit on the shy side social-wise, she is dexterous and lethal against her adversaries, and extremely maternal when it comes to the care and well-being of her beloved pets. She loves bright colors which remind her of her childhood home of Stranglethorn Vale (her RP story is currently under development); this is also displayed in her preference of pet choices as you will see below. Her current and only companion at this time is a Durotar Tiger named Keahi (Keh-Ah-Hee; Hawaiian name meaning "fire").
I know it's a ways away before I acquire some of the other pets I am about to mention but I figure at the rate I am currently leveling, now is as good a time as any to start collecting ideas for original and innovative names. I am interested in names that closely originate from island destinations (i.e. Jamaica, Hawaii, etc.), Africa, South America, or any place whose names sound as though they'd fit in nicely with the whole Troll thing. I am only interested in serious names please and no double-barrel names such as Littlefoot, Frostwing, etc. Also, I am not particular on any specific name meanings/definitions so long as it applies to a characteristic of the beast in some aspect or another.
