Hunting for King Krush

Unread post by Ascalaphus »

So I occasionally go to Sholazar to check for King Krush... 5 times now.. He's dead...

Anyone else having problems like this? :x

This is the only one that's EVER dead when I go to look for him.. Got Gondria, Skoll, Loque'nahak and Arcturis easily... But nope.. not King Krush.

Found him dead the day before I found him. @_@ If I hadn't been distracted while wandering downstairs for nature's call...truly, it was that small of a window between no Krush, and dead Krush.

Had that problem while trying to find him, too. I doubt he lasts longer than a minute in the wild (unless you're lucky)! Three of his spawn points are located in popular questing areas, and I believe two of his patrols path a little close to Nesingwary's camp. The guards seem to enjoy ganking him!

It's best to try late at night or early morning, though you may find him at other times! Finding him is a simple case of being in the right place at the right time. :(

Oh yeah. The one I tamed would have been guard-ganked if I'd been a few minutes slower.

I feel your pain, I'm on the hunt for King Krush at the moment too.

Right now I'd take finding him dead over this complete lack of anything that I've been having. Nearly ten days of regular patrols and I've not seen him dead, alive, newly tamed or anything. The same goes for the other Basin rares too. I seem to be chronically unlucky when it comes to him, I've never had this much trouble finding a rare before. Even an overnight (finally, insomnia has a benefit!!) eight hour stretch when I had the whole zone to myself yielded nothing.

At least finding his corpse would give me some kind of spawn time estimate :(

Edited: Would you believe I have just happened across him near the gorillas and tamed him?! Hang on in there, you'll get him!!!!

I usually go look for him a couple of times a day. I haven't seen him around but I have seen Loque several times. When I was looking for KK on a regular basis during wrath I had only seen him once alive and never dead. I had spent hours out there every day for a few weeks before I saw him.

When I found him the first time he was already being moonfired and whatnot by a moonkin. Second time he was tagged by another hunter, tame in progress. So yeah, the hypothesis that he's not alive for long in the wild is probably true.

Though if you persist you will be rewarded in the end :)
