The WoD/RotS Christmas Special!

((*Clumsily grabs theoretical Eevee* Aurgh!
And time skipping! Oooololoooiolioooo! *wiggles fingers*))
Venin sighed contendetly, the warmth of Phantom easily keeping away the cold of the forest. She was more than tempted to just lay here for the rest of winter, bugger the christmas party.
"Mrrph... I think you're sitting on my tail." She purred softly, not really willing to wake up from her doze completely yet.

[Senna-Umbreon]

((*Snickers* Yay time skipping!))

"Heh, whoops." Phantom said, moving slightly so he wasn't on Venin's tail anymore. "I take no responsibility for that, by the way. Your fault for putting your tail there." He added, playfully sticking his tongue out at her.

[Kamalia]

((By the way... you two miiiight want to keep an eye on the Moments thread. ))

((*Has died from happiness over Kam's Pic, is now using a ghost writer... pun intended.*))

"Me? I though you would have learned by now Fluffy that absolutely nothing in the history of forever is my fault." Venin responded, sticking her own tongue out.
"You're still on it you know," She grunted a little as she turned to look. "Of couse, I don't blame you, it must be hard to keep track... of all your... limbs... under......." The vaporeon trailed off slowly, a look of shock slowly drooping over her face.

((*Cackles*))

[Senna-Umbreon]

((*Joins in the dying from happiness*))

"I am? That makes no sens---" Phantom stopped as he blinked at Venin, "What's wrong?"

((*And joins in the cackling*))

Venin didn't respond, choosing to stare at the strangely spherical object, dappled white and brown, sitting atop her slightly coiled tail. Carefully, she paced a paw on Phantom's head, turning it to look at said object.

((My brother is looking at me strangely because of the cackling noises I am making. XD ))

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom blinked again. "Why aren't you respondi-- Hey! What're you do---- ... .... ... ........" He trailed off as he spotted the egg. "...... Um. ... Is.. That...?"

((XD I'm kinda glad my parents are out doing.. Something, or else they'd probably be giving me the same look. *Cackles*))

[Moonlost]

"..... Yah, I think it is..." Venin responded, unusually speechless. She reached out with a paw to see if the egg was some sort of cruel illusion. A light touch told her it wasn't. It was warm and rough, although thankfully silent and motionless... for the moment. "Well, then. I... guess we'd better learn how to be parents huh?

[Senna-Umbreon]

"Err, yeah. I guess." Phantom replied, staring at the egg. "Not that we'll be very good at it... Then again, Ghost, of all people, seems to be pretty good at being a parent.. And if she can, then I suppose we probably won't fail completely."

[Azunara]

((*storms into thread, looking extremely irritable.* *pauses, sighs, and gives a slight, hesitant grin.* Yay for distractions.))

The egg gave a final, sharp peep as all the cracks met up and glowed brightly, before shattering. A dazed but proud hatchling looked up at her mother and father. It was the greenish shade of a yanma, with a pair of red barred wings. She had her mother's red ruff and stripes however, as well as red spots running down her spine. She looked more like an eevee, and tilted her head at the pair, squeaking and sending a small psychic thought wave. "Mommy? Daddy?"

Solara blinked, and a slow, hesitant grin crossed her face as she nuzzled her new daughter. "Buzzard? Do you want to see the newest member of the family?" She asked.

Nightmare grinned, proud of herself. She hesitated as she saw Buzzard and his attacker fall, so she immediately charged at Julius, going for his flag.

[Lupis]

Buzzard grinned. Of course I do! he replied, surging to his feet. He paused only for a moment to pick up the Espeon plushy, tucking it under a wing before heading up to see the little kid. He approached slowly, keeping his head down, quiet. He didn't want to scare it.

[Azunara]

The small yaneevee looked at her father, giving a happy purr and nuzzling him, then looked at her mother and sat on one of her paws, looking pleased. She paused, head tilted again as she sensed something. She blinked towards the door. Solara grinned, "Ack. She's got some of my psychic ability. She'll be a handful if she can read our thoughts," She stated, and the yaneevee seemed happy to her mother's voice. "We'll need a name..." Solara added, thoughtful.

When Buzzard came in, the yaneevee hopped down, blinking and looking up at Buzzard. She could tell the big dragon-thing was a friend, family. She squeaked, pausing, before valiantly attempting to form a word, "Hai!"

[Lupis]

Buzzard smiled brightly at the Yaneevee. "Hello," he responded, speaking mentally to Solara and Soundwave, she's cute. Looks like she's quite intelligent, too. He usually didn't really like kids all that much, but Solara's kid was different.

[Moonlost]

(( Anything wrong Azu? Or at least, anything you don't mind sharing?))

"Well, I guess we'll find out one way or another." Venin sat up, moing hersef so the sat with the egg sitting atop her paws, curled by her tail. "Uh, I know tradition was important to you at one point, but I don't want that for this little guy or girl. Or any other additions to our family really."
She looked down at the shell of the egg, smiling a little as her maternal instincts began to kick in.

[Azunara]

((Mrrf. School frustrations. Being pressured to do better when I'm not exactly doing -bad-, per se, I'm just not amazing star like parents want me to be.))

Solara grinned at Buzzard, "Thanks! She'll be a handful, I can tell...Hope I don't need sleep." She added, snickering. The yaneevee tilted her head at Buzzard, looking interested in his wings. She had some too! Kind of. She twitched muscles that didn't want to respond, ending with some sort of spasm. She looked a bit disappointed, but it passed quickly as she carefully poked Buzzard's paw. He didn't look anything like Mommy or Daddy, but that was okay.

[Senna-Umbreon]

Phantom stood up, walking over to stand beside Venin, wrapping his tails around her and the egg. "Heh, don't worry. Those days are behind me. Heck, at this point.. I don't really want anything to do with that stupid tribe..."

[Kamalia]

Julius let out a yelp, trying to squirm away. He made a valiant attempt at swiping at Nightmare's piece of cloth as he felt his own start to slip.

[Moonlost]

((The schooling system itself is flawed... but that's a topic best not discussed on a lighthearted Roleplay thread methinks. ))

"Good" Venin reached up to lick him. "... Do you think that dusk evolution thing you went though will affect this little guy in any way?"

[Azunara]

Nightmare squeaked, trying to jerk back and save her cloth. Whether Julius' cloth came with her didn't matter.

((Agreed.))

[Lupis]

Buzzard grinned at the Yaneevee, reaching out to carefully touch her paw in return. He lifted up one wing and extended it to touch one of the Yaneevee's wings. Giving her a conspiratorial look, he extended his other wing to block her from Solara's sight, then offered her the Espeon plushy. Hopefully she'd like it. If not, there were other kids out there, he supposed.
Solara was going to be ticked, but he could survive.
