Can I just whine for a second about howe much it sucks that I'm currently in the middle of a major acne breakout thanks to my lovely hormones?

Why the HELL do I have to get massively oily skin & pimples after I ovulate? It's SO SO SO annoying!!!!

I have the same problem, my skin is only just clearing up from the last batch. Worse, mine itch like all hell, making me less than plesant to hang around with during that time of the month. Admitedly though, my periods generally don't hurt or cramp anymore. I guess I prefer pimple explosion over days of pain.

EDIT: I'd just like to say a huge thanks to Velkin and Mania for, inadvetently, leading me to discover a little more about my life and my sexuality. I never really considered asexuality to be an option, especially given that I normally associate the word with the biological definition (reproduction without sex). But reading up about it more, it kinda fits, Although differently than it fits you Velken, I have no fear over physical intimacy. (If I may offer a suggestion as to how to get over that, see if you can find some well drawn/written and petty tasteful porn. Seriously, porn helped me get over my squick feelings over sex back when I still had them. XD) In a way, I'm kinda fascinated by sex. I certainly like looking at it and reading about it, but I just don't get aroused. Which was a source of frustration for me in the past.

Yup, another pad-lover here. I've never been comfortable with tampons, I don't know why. I mean, I've squeezed out two kids, so it shouldn't be that difficult inserting a tampon in there, should it? But it's intensely uncomfortable, what with either the dry cotton (or whatever it's made of), or the plastic inserter thingy. Nah, I'll stick to what I'm comfortable with, and seeing as I need to change my pad almost hourly during the first two days of a period, I think it's just faster this way.

Well lilatha I really do have OCD so yeah I get picky over things XD. I have not been on the pill as well last four years I have had to take way tomany pills for all those surgerys so yeah.

In the past I could get ONE tampon to be bearable... after the first one for a given cycle I just notice it too much, it's painful, etc. (Having fiddled with the NuvaRing now, I wonder if my ladybits are just configured such that it's almost impossible for me to insert a tampon into the right place so that it's actually IN far enough... hmm.)

Oh, I know the feeling. Before I started with pills I would have really bad pains, and would not go away until I took a painkiller. The problem was that like 10 mins after, I would throw up, EVERY SINGLE TIME! I got sick and tired of puking once a month, so I started with hormone pills. Now I am really afraid of the day I will have to stop taking them, for example if I want a kid or something..
I do have some sexual problems because of the pills, like I can only dream of having a quickie as it takes about an hour to "warm me up" enough, and I do have pains now and then during sex (not THAT much though, it's bearable) So it's kinda like a catch-22; there are probably better stuff without hormones to make the sex better, but then I would have to go back to the pain and throwing up... Pain or pain, what to choose? (rhetorical question )

If you are talking about me, my prescriptor (did I just make that word up? ) and I have already talked about this. There are two different dominant substances in b/c pills; one that makes the menstruation-pain go away, and one that makes the sex a bit easier. You cannot have both, since as I said, one is dominant. And I would need both of those If we are talking about pills only, I have a choice of: menstruation pains, not VERY bad, but they make themselves known. Can't take painkillers for this, since it comes and goes all day, two days straight. The upside is that I can have sex. Like, at all. The other choice I have is no menstruation pain at all, but then again I can't have sex either (some kinds) or it hurts too much.
Recently I was kinda fed up with the pains, and that's why she said this about the dominant stuff. I think I have tried around, 4 new kind of pills, the 3 months each, and nothing has worked better than the ones I had before I changed. I have had serious sweating that no antiperspirant could help me with, I've had the same effects but worse sex, I tried one that made the blood go away totally the last month but was impossible to have sex with. We have tried every composition of substances in pills there are, but I guess I'll be changing back after this last month of pills.
We have talked about the patch or ring, but I kinda like taking the pills. It gives me a sense of control, that I don't think I will have with something I only care about for once a month. Hell, if I have a 21-day version, I check and double check when I will start taking them again, and the ones that works does not come in a 28-day version

Does anyone else have trouble orgasming unless everything is "just right"? My boyfriend and I could mess around all day and I could feel amazing but my body would be like "NO. I'm going to have to join in with the club on not having an orgasm during sex. I've just never been able to. I can get close but in the end I just get agitated and disappointed. Actually, it's not just sex either, now that I think about it, I've never had an orgasm with another person male or female when engaging in any sort of sexual activity. Just for the sake of mentioning it exists, I do not like receiving oral. Fingers directly involved with my ladybits also gets a big fat veto. Teasing? Sure. That sort of stuff in surrounding areas can be enjoyable. Mmm, foreplay, and all that. But if I think I can orgasm, and I want to orgasm, keep your dexterous appendages away from my clit. Sometimes, just for a little bit, it will feel sort of okay, at least compared to, I don't know, getting mauled by a bear. The rest of the time, it is either intensely overwhelming and bizarre, or just straight-up painful. The only way to ruin sex faster would be my entire family walking into the room at once shouting "SURPRIIIIIISE!"

Not to say vaginal sex is INSTANT ROLLING ORGASMS-- I do require either just the right angles, or else some foreplay-like activities at the same time. And, honestly, sometimes I just do not want orgasms. I'm also pretty slow. But at the end of the day, I've found the most success with vaginal, and while "try oral!" is good advice... *shudders* I'm waaaay happier giving than receiving, in this one situation.

As for your suggestion....I don't think that's quite my problem. I don't have troubles with the concept of sex per se (I read a LOT of fantasy and sci fi and pretty much 95% of said books have some sort of sex scene in it, explicit or not. Some of my favorite shows, like Firefly, have significant amounts of sexual content too). I usually find it uncomfortable and embarrassing when I see such things with other people, like if I'm watching a movie with a sex scene in it with family or friends, or sex comes up in discussion (they usually take the opportunity to lol at me for how naive I am). Which probably just means I'm a very private person in that regard. In fact I agree with you in one way, sex is fascinating to me from an artistic and historical perspective (again going back to Firefly, for example, I love seeing the symbolic contrasts of the "Companion"/escort Inara as a sexual being against constantly cold and robotic backdrops; as a writer, I find it to be sheer genius). Sex doesn't squick me out that way so much as...um, no, if I don't like a guy tapping me on the shoulder, there is no effing way he's getting on me or in me. Fantasy/imagination are inherently separate from the 'real world,' at least to me (which, after reading a lot of other asexual accounts on AVEN, is apparently something I share with a lot of the community).

If it works for others, though, then I wish them well.

I have only received oral like a 2 or so times. I mean its wonderfull but useally eather the dudes are way too drunk and I have to do everything or they are like "hell no bitch!".

Honestly, if you have trouble orgasming, becoming proficient at self-stimulation is the first step. Not only do you have the benefit of direct feedback, but you also do not have the stress of wanting to please your partner.

As for myself, I prefer my partner to use oral stimulation instead of manual. It's pretty easy for other people to be too rough with fingers.

You're not the only one. It all gets down to how we're wired, and for some of us the wiring is more finicky than others.
