Depending on how much you stalk me (Which sounds creepy in its own right.) you'll know today I have a school interview coming up. The school sounds awesome. There will be college courses you can take early on, more class diversity, more off-campus free than sitting in a room all day and dying of boredom. It's a more open humanties school, and I like that. Besides, most of my friends went there. (I applied, didn't pass their math test.)

So, like I said, school interview at eleven. They'll interview my parents and I, separately, obviously. I've had a million pointers, tips, good lucks, I know more or less what question I can expect, I've crafted a few to ask them back, outfit picked...At this point, it's just taking the interview, and I'm still really nervous. Everyone is confident in me...except me. After some real life stuff going on involving family, it'd be nice to have something swing my way and really just brighten everything up.

Yeah. Just posting in hopes I can get some of that lovely forum luck. (And if it wants to let me have TLPD or Anzu too, I won't say anything....)

Good luck, Azu! It's hard to be confident in these situations, but think of it as RP and go in and fake it!

Wow.. Well I don't blame you for being nervous with all that preparation stuff and all beforehand, constantly thinking about it and being reminded.

I'm sure you'll do fine though! =3

Well.

I think I did fairly well. For all my nervousness, it wasn't that bad. The people made me uneasy, but it was really only one guy talking, which made it easier to focus on him and not think about the five other people staring at me. There was some laughing and nodding and sounds of impressed-ness, so I think I have a shot. And my dad has a lot more people skill than I do, so the parent interview likely went well.

So, in the end, it boils down to waiting. I'm just glad it's over with.

Bump/necro, but...

I tried. Really did. Waited forever, gave it my all. I made sure to follow all the tips, ask questions, try to be charming and confident, despite the fact I'm not.

Well, it turns out they thought I was, because I'm in. Got my acceptance letter today.

Thanks all! It was kind of funny, my mom went to check the mail, came back crying. I was all, "Oh, frak. This is it. Ah well." She told me I got in. My response? "You're kidding. You're messing with me, aren't you?" (After living with my dad for all my life, I'm a natural skeptic, okay?)

If she was so emotional over this, imagine what will happen when college applications roll around in a few years. O_o

But yeah, it was a nice surprise. I was starting to get nervous and impatient.

Congrats! I did a similar program for my last two years of high school, and I didn't get in the first time because they only did one interview, and it was with my parents. I probably wouldn't have graduated high school on time had I not fought for a second interview (on my own, that time) since I clam up if I'm with both my parents AND strangers at the same time, so they thought I wasn't really that interested.

I think they changed the interview system after that, since apparently I wasn't the first person that'd happened to.
