Disembodied Jormungar - now with even less body?

I just decided to replace my poor Wasp again - this time with a Disembodied Jormungar. However, I was in for a big surprise when I tamed one: the thing is pretty much invisible now! I had one of these way earlier and am 100% sure it wasn't half as see-through as it is now.


For reference, here's a prowling Ghost Saber


To me the Worm looks a tad more see-through than a Ghost Saber in prowl. o.o

Now I wish I would've taken some screencaps of my former ghost worm...

Hmm....I've never had one of the see-through Jormungars, but looking at a screenshot of one of the Disembodied ones your does indeed look a bit more transparent.

I've heard it has to do with how good your video card is to whether how transparent it is.

Which doesn't make any sense, as I'm using the exact same computer as I was when I had one of these earlier. o.O

That would give you a bit more of an advantage though, especially pvp wise when no one would be able to see your worm until he jumps them.

That's kinda cool. I kinda want 1 of those "ghost" Worms now. That'd be great in battlegrounds, the enemy wouldn't even know you had a pet. They wouldn't know what's hitting them and be looking around. lol

Sadly the jormungar I like is an untameable level 83 elite beast, at the Argent Tourney grounds. I believe it's called a "Hungry Jormungar". It's like greenish and yellowish instead of the blue and purple. Me likey! But unfortunately I can't have it.

Yeah, there's a few different skin colours for Jormungar in the model viewer. I wish they'd release some of them as tameable ones, I really love the one with black colouring.

Where is this "model viewer" you speak of? I'd love to see the different critters they have secreted away in their little stash of files!

I was in heaven the first time I found out about Model Viewer. That was when I was still fairly new to the game, and just the ability to get up-close looks at all the creatures and colour combinations they came in was bliss. You can browse through all of their animations, pause and rewind...it's such a simple but fantastic program.

I'm pretty sure Petopia wouldn't exist without the WoW Model Viewer. Can you imagine getting decent screenshots of all those beasts by hand? (Especially the models that can't be tamed ...)

Sadly there's no mac version of Model Viewer yet Or I would totally waste time on it haha...though that'd be partly the animator in me too!

Can't you run the windows modelviewer trough whatever program Macs use to run windows programs? When Im at my main computer I run WoW and modelviewer and such trough Wine, a Linux program that emulates a windows setup for the program.

Yeaaah I've looked into that before (running windows on a mac that is) and it's just...so much hassle, and from everything I've gathered it takes up a lot of space. And honestly I wouldn't use it for a lot anyway, as I can only afford one MMO (WoW) and have working everything-elses on the mac XD
