That said: Dan Savage's advice column, while often raunchy and very opinionated, has broken my worldview and put it back together again dozens of times, for the better. Good for learning just how weird and wide the world of romance is. (NSFW, NSFW, NSFW, possible NSFSanity at times, don't read it on a public computer if you can help it! Linkity!) If you need something less outrageous, reading nearly any other advice column is a good way to introduce yourself to the surprisingly common fears and follies of humans. I can't promise it directly helps, but I find comfort in knowing just how far "normal" stretches
Oh, he's a columnist for The Stranger. Quite the interesting newspaper, that one. Hardline conservatives are advised not to read, for health reasons. To be clear, it's not a bad newspaper; they just don't give a rip about being politically correct.
So, you're not talking about the meme, then? You've piqued my interest.Miyon wrote:Huh, okay. x)
The Game is a good read anyway, entertaining to say the least.

I actually thought the column was somewhat insightful, somewhat funny and about what you'd expect from a shock jock - one who happens to be gay in this case, but like with all shock jocks regardless of political stance, the point is to be edgy and provocative first, and thought provoking / informative second.Cialbi wrote:Oh, he's a columnist for The Stranger. In re: political correctness... well, "PC" is of course a matter of perspective and typically translates into the belief that the media is controlled by those on the opposite end of the spectrum from the reader.
