Opinions needed! Who to kick for Mini Corpse Scarab?!

Well first of all, foxes have an aoe special. Critters that get hit by such non-damage abilities will go jetting hella far away but stay in combat, and if the pet is in defensive it too will jet after the critter. Try keeping the aoe specials (i.e. bear/strider/fox/sporebat/carrion bird) turned off unless you really need them, and I'm pretty sure your pets will stop randomly running off.

Keeping /petfollow macroed to something like Feed Pet is also handy just in case.

Assuming it doesn't get its size fixed (hope it doesn't dropped Aotona for it), I wonder how small it will get with that new size reduction glyph?

In terms of hunter/pet bugs, I want them to fix the "oh I just dismounted and my pet has been insta-killed" bug.

From what I understand, hunters on the PTR were recently saying that their mini-scarabs were full size, but still with the black trail :/ Just a heads up.

I know someone here posted in a thread that a mini-beetle pet became full sized when he copied his character over to the PTR, but has anyone actually gone and tamed one lately there to see if it stayed small?

I guess we'll find out soon enough on the live realms.

Yeah they really need to fix this, happens to me in pvp all the time. It seems to be a problem with all pet classes (warlock demons etc) not just hunters. I think its the pet spawning with its base health before stats and everything are factored in for some reason.

they "normalized" the size but it is still slightly different from the other beetles, they seem to move more slowly and as stated previously the black streak is still there

Still having streak is still cool, imo...although I wonder if it still has the soft 'thump' sound during idle--reminiscent of the boss silithids, but not as loud when they were tiny.

They grew, unfortunately. Dropped Aotona for it? Harsh! That birdy took me the longest of any rare to get, I could never see dropping her!

Back on topic, when I took mine out it was just under the size of a normal beetle. Mind you, I had forgotten to take off the glyph of lesser proportion, so I don't know if that mad restored it. He did keep his black trail however, he still has a massive shield (it's HUGE now due to his size increase) and he is still critter sized in the stables pane.

I'm curious to hear if anyone without the glyph has tamed a fresh one since patch.

yea hopefully the glyph will make him look a little more like how he used to be, specially seeing as everything else seems to be original

I imagine they'll replace the glyph of lesser proportion after they've found something more useful.

They grew, but not to full beetle size. They're kinda like "teen beetles" now.
