Tried to find my thread where my hunter Xakaal got Anzu-- took her 4 runs to get him, now today as bf was cheering me on in killing Anzu, the raven lord dropped again, this time on the char i really really wanted it on, Ysaeil my druid. He was like go go go go go! -kill Anzu... look through the loot... OMG- and then he was like get it get it get it! XD



It was prolly 2 1/2 weeks i did my daily runs so.... maybe 16-17 runs?

Nice going! I know it's total luck of the RNG, but that's great that it dropped for you. This reminds me, I need to start farming this bad boy again.

I have 7 lvl 85's and prolly 250+ runs spread across my toons and have never seen him drop. I am currently farming it on 2 toons so someday i hope. lol

But seriously, grats!! Its weird some people/toons just have the luck

How often can one do this run? I ran it both regular and heroic yesterday, and no raven lord drop on the latter -- do I have to wait the 12 hour reset timer to do it again?

it only drops in heroic and its once per day, you can see when the dungeon resets for you via the calender :3

Thanks! I'm badly feeling the need for more mounts. The only interesting ones I have are the Frostwolf (from back when you had to work really hard to get it) and the Bronze Drake dungeon drop.

Oooooh i adore the frostwolf-- sadly im playing ally as my main faction now ._. -sends good luck vibes to you- you'll get anzu eventually, its a really fast run, especially if you try to camo past the mobs (beware, its hard to bypass the ones guarding the doors, i aggro em often, luckily they're easy peasy), it takes my hunter less then 10min to enter, kill anzu, kill ikiss, and leave via ikiss' room (when you kill him the doors to the right hand side open up so its a shortcut out of the isntance)

I've always been a big Alterac Valley player, so I have all the gear to show my fandom, I guess -- and I tamed a Frostwolf to have as a pet, too, just because (I named it Frostbite) -- and I always try to wear my Frostwolf tabard in there, too. Sadly, AV is a lot less fun at 85 because it's too easy with geared maxlevel players.

I found the exiting trick too, by wondering where it led!
