First Rehoming!(:

You know that plain, old, white gorilla that stops around in a number of places? It's not the only white! There's another white skin, which is bluer, paler, and ghostlier looking. And, well, there's a rare version, who a lot of people seem to forget about. He even has a title; <The Earth Spirit>.

Well, today was the first time I'd logged onto Aela in a while. I've been busy doing fishing and cooking dailies on Dona and had just never gotten around to playing my little Petopian again.

So, I go and quest a bit after doing some Inscription work and who do I see? Tsul'Kaul, who has the white skin. That skin is only found on one other mob, who is much higher leveled.

I don't want him; I don't like gorillas and he doesn't fit the theme of my hunter anyway. I announce it in gchat, no one there wants him. So, I /who Northern Stanglethorn. It's surprisingly full of hunters, all of whom are high enough to tame him. So, I choose the first player on the list, who is at level with old Tsul'Kaul and will probably get the most use out of him (considering that many of the other hunters were level sixty or higher). Besides, those other hunters probably want Pogeyan, anyway.

That sweet little tauren hunter who I whispered to very much wanted him. We joined group and, all of the sudden, I was being attacked. A stupid little tiger had rezzed right under the gorilla, who also started attacking. I dismiss pet, look for feign death-- oh, right. I don't have that yet. So, I die.

Corpse run, summon pet, kill the tiger, wait. The tauren pops up almost immediately after I dispatch the tiger, and her tame goes perfectly.

It was a lot of fun to be able to help someone get a rare pet they want and it was also rather exciting. I hope I'll be able to do this more in the future!

Rehoming is probably one of the best things ever aside from taming a beast yourself. It's just a rush to know you made someone's day and kept a fanceh pet alive long enough to do so. I've gotten so many excited thank yous and even made new friends this way. I've been doing it since Cata started and still going. It's worth it, in my opinion. :3
