Karkin, Kirix, Ankha. Karma DOES exist. :D

Unread post by shardust »

Long post is long, sorry. Also with screenshot of my new pets. :D

...After my adventure with Skarr a week or so ago, I decided to camp for Karkin. Not even a day later after I started, he spawned when nobody was around to disturb me. Charcoal is home. :D

(flashback) A few days ago, I saw Kirix skittering around, and a guildie was trying to tame it. Ironically, he was one of the pair that griefed me while I was camping Skarr, but since I'm too kind for my own good, I decided to help, gave him sheetloads of haste potions and popped hysteria when needed. He failed spectacularly every. Single. Time for like 10 times. A horde hunter ended up taming him. A couple days ago, he spawned again. No one was around, so I decided to try taming. I DIDN'T use the rock-haste buff, I simply stood on a floating rock in a place where I could tag him for a few seconds-window time (or however you say it), popped hysteria while he was far away, and dismissed corehound. I ended up pressing the macro too soon, didn't tag it, and Deterrence went on CD. I shrugged, and decided to try again immediately, since hysteria was still active. Lo and behold, Kirix started his poison cast while my tame one was over half-way done, so of course he's in my stable now.

And now, for the DEFINITIVE proof that karma DOES exist, today I was doing my MF dailies, and decided do to the Wardens ones for a change. Anthriss spawned. I wasn't interested, so I asked in general, and a hunter answered. There also was this Warlock dude who tried twice to kill the spider, but he got owned both times. Meanwhile, the hunter didn't know tactics, so I whispered it to him. It took him a couple tries since he was a worgen and they are kinda big for the nearest lava polls, but in the end he tamed it, thanking me for the help. I then went outside to do the Pterodactyl jousting daily, and guess who spawns? Ankha. I panicked since my current stable had rares, then I remembered my Stillpine Hold corehound, and well, I can always get it back later, so I released him, hit my my tabard-only dress macro, and tamed the kitty. :D

Now, I'd like to tame Magria as well, but I'm full. Perhaps I can release the Feralas Chimaera... :|

Karma paying you back does certainly exist. As payment for helping several hunters tame Deth, even tho I lost him myself 6 times, I was rewarded with Magria, Ankha, Ban'thalos, and Solix all within one week. I got Kirix the second I could get in Firelands. Because green and black is so badass. I won't even use him as a pet. He sits in my stable as a shrine to his awesomeness. As for Deth, I did eventually get him, perhaps as thanks again for helping so many others get him.
Part of Dark Magics, lvl 25 Horde guild, casual, helpful, don't raid, mostly help people and hunt pets.
Part of Dynasty, lvl 25 Alliance guild, casual and hardcore (your choice, no one forces you to raid, but you can), very helpful
Come on over if interested (Runetotem US, Horde name Sarantha, Ally name Ellysetta or Valeraud)
