I grabbed my phone and glanced at the time, it was 01:26am and I just didn't feel like going back to sleep again. I booted up the computer while I opened a can of soda with my other hand, eagerly logging into WoW to talk to my friends and just waste some time.
I log Ehawee in and find myself falling through the platforms that you walk around on in the Molten Front. "Excellent, that was just a great start of the night." I thought to myself, being slightly peeved that I just fell through the ground just like that, I figured there would be little of a point for me to actually come across any of the rares that I seek. But I decided to try to stay positive and went out hunting, seeing as I had used my Hearthstone I found myself in Orgrimmar and thought to myself that Northrend would be just as good as any place to start. I swiftly flew up towards Storm Peaks hoping to be able to find Skoll, or even Time-Lost Proto Drake if I would be lucky enough. Neither of them were up, but I did see the corpse of Vyragosa and felt slightly relived that it wasn't "TLPD".
At this time my Hearthstone had finished its cooldown and back to Orgrimmar I went - I set out to Mt. Hyjal and The Molten Front, hoping that Kirix, Skarr or Deth'tilac would be up. It had gone about half an hour since I had woken up, the time was nearing 02:00am and I was getting quite awake. I think that my heart skipped a few beats when I arrived in The Molten Front and found Skarr sitting on one of the rocks by Kirix's spawn point. I quickly tried to tame him like a few friends had suggested and failed miserably, I died 4 times before another Hunter came along with his friend, a Restoration Shaman, he managed to tame it on his third try and I couldn't help but feel a little jealous.
Oh well, I suppose that happens, and figured I would still check if Deth'tilac was up seeing as Kirix wasn't and Skarr had just been tamed by another Hunter. I approach Deth'tilacs spawn and yet again my heart skipped a few beats, I quickly slapped Hunter's Mark on him and began attacking him, knowing he would have to reach 30% before I could tame him. I started at 02:01am and I was joined by another Hunter at 02:17am, I was getting a little bit upset thinking that he would do whatever that he could to get the tame instead of me, but I refused to give up. We managed to get him to 30% at 02:44am. It took me 43 minutes to get him that low, and I quickly used Tame Beast hoping that I would get it. Those 10 seconds were the slowest seconds of my lives, it was a torture.
But I managed to tame him and I was just speechless, and I got a quick 'gz' from the other Hunter, I thanked him and went to Orgrimmar - I was still speechless.. Had I just tamed Deth'tilac!?
I believe I did.. Oh. My. God. I couldn't believe it, he was the pet that I wanted the most.
I'm still a little bit shocked, I get filled with excitement every time that I log Ehawee in.
