New Rare for the Future? (Idea)

Unread post by Bubbleme »

Don't laugh at the drawing I'm about to provide you with, but this is my general idea. This pet could work!

King Kalerash, a level 83 rare turtle, who summons ten weak minions when you attack him. Tameable. He would be covered in deepholm-like crystals, perhaps a mad creation the miners accidentally released into the zone. It would be twice the size of a normal turtle - and stay that way when tamed. If killed, it drops a turtle minion mini-pet, and (30% drop) a golden shiny spiked crown, with an ego boost (in stat). Blood red smoke rises from his nose and spikes, the spikes on his head signal he's the king, as the other turtles in the zone wouldn't have anything on their head. By turtle law. And also, as a pet and mob, when he swims his spikes would glimmer as if clean - and let off gold smoke instead of red. So when it's red, it means he needs a wash! ^^

Pic below.

xD I want one.

The only thing I disagree with is having him drop a vanity pet. We have enough people killing rares as it is (and for much less reason than a vanity pet), having him drop a pet would make camping him very frustrating. =/

I guess I agree. But it still stands a good idea. As nonetheless, Jadefang hasn't been stolen much. Maybe we'd need a sly tactic to get to him, to make it a more 'I can't be bothered' pet towards non-hunters.

It needs a cheshire cat face with a ginormous grin.

And the ability to achieve lift from internal hot air sacs, and flippers instead of feet to allow it to maneuver through the air.

I would totally tame that.

But Terrorpene is ENORMOUS, so is Deth'Tilac(for that matter, all the spiders are enormous, and several or more tameable ones from Vanilla and WotLK are too), i dont understand why they suddenly dont want oversized beasts :/ I think this idea is lols and depending on how well they made him for in-game, i might tame him

let me make a scene

Blizzard is busy tending to its children, starcraft and diablo are in the corner and the wow playable classes are all infront begging for the parents attention.
Hunter:I want a bigger pet!!!
Blizzard: well here have this glyph, sorry Dk needs more love then you.
Hunter: yey! bigger pets!
Rogue: I want them smaller, stupid pets are meanies.
Blizzard: Fine, here they are now smaller
Hunter: but, but, but!
Blizzard: don't you throw your but's at me mr, or its the nerf for you.
Hunter gulps then pouts in the direction of the rogue
Rogue laughs: You'll never win

or so id imagine something like that.... but that was back in 4.1 so its been a while

Yeah. Pets are big BEFORE you tame them, but they shrink to a standard size afterwards. And it makes sense... As awseome as it would be to have a huge pet for soloing, in group play, it would just get really annoying. I've tanked, and done some melee classes before, and it can get hard enough when you have monsterly sized enemies blocking your view... If there was a giant pet doing so ALL the time... Well.. let's just say I'd probably never group as melee with a hunter that had such a pet... Possibly not even as ranged, as still need to be able to roughly see what you're doing.

Ding ding ding this ^

My Nuramoc swallows everything near it as-is... imagine him at twice that size.

And same goes for any pet; even without big flappy wings they would blot out other players.*

*Unless they start letting players grow as they level ;)

Turtle law is the only law. :headbang:

Thou shalt not have anything on your head.
Thou shall give they humans salmonella.
Thou shall nom vegetables, fruits and flowers in the most adorable manner possible.

Thou shalt not poop unless placed in water.
Thou shall dance when itched by a toothbrush.

I agree with your points, time for a bit of an adjustment ...

1. Does not drop vanity pet
2. Shrinks to a terrorpene size when tamed
3. Cheshire cat face with a ginormous grin.
4. Ability to achieve lift from internal hot air sacs, and flippers instead of feet to allow it to maneuver through the air. ( If everyone else agrees :D )
5. A 'K' on his crown (forgot to put it in)
