Stable ideas for a Night Elf hunter

So I'm considering making yet another hunter. (Sanity? What's that?) This one would be a Night Elf, taming only pets that would make sense from a lore perspective. She wouldn't really be played in instances, so if I end up missing a buff or two because the pet that provides it would make no sense for a Night Elf to have - so be it.

Here are the pets I currently have in mind.


Any or all, not sure yet - the white striped is the Night Elf starter pet; all three pets match a mount available to Night Elves.


Probably only one of the three - because of the owl scout some Night Elf units could summon. Ban'thalos would match closest, but he requires level 85 and would be my third Ban o_O The next closest match would be the ghostly jade owl, and it's also the most low-level, but I'm not sure I like it nearly as much as Olm or Ban.


Tortolla.


Goldrinn.


Probably only one, not both. Brown for Ursol/Ursoc, while white would be Grimclaw (if you've quested in Darkshore you'll know him). That is, if I can bring myself to actually like the bear models - they just bug me.

Lady Sathrah (from a Night Elf quest in Teldrassil).


Critter moths like this show up in Hyjal, and the larger, tamable version is from Azuremyst - it fits.

I'm out of ideas, though, and I have a feeling I'm missing a lot of potential pets. The only pet family I absolutely can't see a Night Elf wanting to tame are Silithids, due to the War of the Shifting Sands, but I can't see any pets that shout out "oooh, me, tame me" when looking at other families.

Looks good to me ^^ All I can really think of would be a few other skins of night sabers such as Duskfang. Also possibly Ankha and/or Magria/ Them being in Hyjal strikes me as seeing them as Night Elven cats. Also a normal owl would also work. But really I think you got the basics down well. ^^

Feel free to check out Sere's stables. She's a RP elfy with RP pets. There are reasons for her pets even if they aren't all traditional nelfy pets. She travels alot and occasionally forms bonds with creatures she met along her journeys. You sorta got most of the pets she would want. I plan to add a few more when she gets higher in level too. I don't care about buffs cause I won't be raiding with her. -Sere's Stables-

My opinions:
-I do like the idea of the pet as a mount, for me it doesn't work well in game... If you asked me my favorite out of what you have selected is the middle one. I use that model for Sere's mount. I've considered taming it, but I have three cats already and I prefer them more.
-I love the jade owl! I have the "spirit" version for her level, but when Sere is 73 or 74 I will be getting the non transparent version. I also have Olm, cause he looks really nice with her.
-I have a green warpy for a tank pet. Possibly non traditional, but they are found in Wintersrping. I don't care, they are cute and I like it with her.
-I personally hate wolf models, so I have a saber worg from the human starter zone cause thats all I can stand.
-Oh, for critter moths.... you could always use the non combat pet to have a critter sized moth up at the same time. Thats if you want an actual critter sized pet... sadly you can't "name" them, but you can give them a name only people can't see it. Lots of people RP their non combat companions with names on my server.

Your selections are very nice, and I think very fitting. You can also consider that making sure you tame what "fits" your hunter's personality. Reason I say this is cause I did divert from the traditional night elf pets (the tallstrider/saber worg/warpy/fox) a bit because they fit Sere. I also gave them night elf inspired names to help blend them into the more traditional pets... Except Vash, he is named after Vash the Stampede
